Witching Hour, the HP convention that will take place in 2005 in Salem, Mass., has announced its latest featured speaker, award-winning children’s literature author and essayist John Cech. Mr. Cech has judged the New York Times’ Best Illustrated Books of the Year and has served on the nominating committee for the American nominees for the Hans Christian Anderson Medal. He has received the Chandler Award of Merit for his work in children’s literature and is a professor of English and children’s literature at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
