Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a film directed by Chris Columbus and based on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J. K. Rowling. Steve Kloves wrote the screenplay. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was released in the US on November 15, 2002.

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter.

Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.

Emma Watson as Hermione Granger.

Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore. This is Harris' last film, as the actor passed away at age 72 of Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Kenneth Branagh as Gilderoy Lockhart. Hugh Grant was originally considered for the role, but was unable to due to scheduling conflicts. Lockhart's appearance in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was cut.

Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy. Isaacs joins the primary adult cast in this film.

Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid.

Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall.

Alan Rickman as Severus Snape.

Julie Walters as Molly Weasley. Walters reprises her brief role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (film).

Mark Williams as Arthur Weasley. Williams joins the primary adult cast in this film.

Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick.

Richard Griffiths as Vernon Dursley.

Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley.

John Cleese as Sir Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington, or Nearly-Headless Nick. This is Cleese's last film as the character, who appears in only a small portion of the film.

Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy.

Sean Biggerstaff as Oliver Wood. This is Biggerstaff's last appearance as the character until the June 2010 release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (film).

Robert Hardy as Cornelius Fudge. Hardy joins the primary adult cast in this film.

Miriam Margoyles as Pomona Sprout. This is Margoyles's last appearance as the character until the June 2010 release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (film).

Shirley Henderson as Moaning Myrtle. Henderson reprises her role in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (film).

Gemma Jones as Poppy Pomfrey. Jones reprises her role in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film), and will appear as the character again in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (film).

Christian Coulson as the teenage Tom Riddle, or Lord Voldemort. Coulson does not appear in the flashback sequences in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film), as the producers stated he was now too old for the role. Frank Dillane replaces him.

Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley. Wright reprises her brief role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (film).

Harry Melling as Dudley Dursley.

Toby Jones provides the voice of Dobby. The character was cut, most likely due to the difficulties in animating Dobby, from all of the other films save the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (film).

Julian Glover provides the voice of Aragog. Glover is the only actor to appear as a villain in four of the largest film franchises: Harry Potter, Star Wars, James Bond, and Indiana Jones.
