Chris Rankin Talks Percy in "Deathly Hallows"

As we reported a few days ago several actors from the Harry Potter films attended Ring-Con in Germany. HarryPotterXperts.de attended this event, and was able to conduct interviews with several of the actors including Chris Rankin, Stan Ianevski, and Jamie Yeates. Of note is a new interview with actor Chris Rankin, who said he hopes to return to his role as Percy Weasley in the “Deathly Hallows” films. Chris also gave his thoughts on Percy and what scenes he is looking forward in the final Harry Potter films. Of “Deathly Hallows” Chris said:

Robbie Coltrane, Alan Rickman Contribute to New Book Aid International Auction

Contributions from two actors in the Harry Potter film series will be part of a new charity auction from Book Aid International. The “Book Change Lives” auction will begin next week, with proceeds to benefit Book Aid International’s work in sub-Saharan Africa. With over fifty lots from various politicians, authors and celebs, two will be pieces donated by Alan Rickman (Professor Severus Snape) and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid). Previously we told you actor Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) would be featured on an episode of the UK reality program “Jack Osbourne: Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie.” Thanks to our friends at Feltbeats.com, we now know this episode will be broadcast on ITV next month, at the end of November. Actor Ralph Fiennes has made some new remarks on the character he portrays in the Harry Potter films: Lord Voldemort. Speaking with Variety, Ralph Fiennes says that as an actor he developed some background of the Dark Lord before taking on the part several years ago (and several HP books) for the Goblet of Fire movie. The article notes the actor “worked hard to develop a convincing backstory for Lord Voldemort that would ring psychologically true, despite the fact that Fiennes is virtually unrecognizable in the role under layers of ghoulish makeup.” Quotage:

Actor Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) is appearing in a new film entitled “The Disappeared,” which is set to have a round of screenings in the coming weeks. Feltbeats.com has new information online regarding the screenings that will take place in the UK and Stateside during the months of October and November. First, the Eerie Horror Fest in Erie, Pennsylvania will be screening the film as part of their annual festival on October 10th. Last weekend a number of actors from the Harry Potter films were in attendance at RingCon 2008, a large fantasy conference which took place in Germany. Actors Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley), Jamie Yeates (Slytherin Quidditch Captain Marcus Flint), and Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum) made appearances at the Con, speaking on their roles in the Harry Potter films and meeting with fans. The first set of photos are starting to appear online from the conference. Amazon is celebrating ten years of online retailing this year, and as such, Amazon.co.uk has released a list of the top-selling books over this period. The Bookseller reports that the two top spots for the UK branch of the retailer are held by books from author J.K. Rowling: Number one goes to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, followed at number two by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Furthermore, the website reports the "top ten is entirely comprised of titles that were published during the past five years." The list is as follows:
