Total Film Lists the 50 Greatest Harry Potter Scenes
February 03, 2012, 05:03 PM
With eight films over a span of 10 years, it must've been pretty difficult for Total Film to come up with this list of the 50 Greatest Harry Potter Scenes. But they managed to do it, describing the scene and explaining why it's one of their top picks. From Snape's "Page 394" scene to Harry and Ron's trip in the flying Ford Anglia, there's a little bit of everything.
Check out the complete list here to find out what snagged the number one spot, and then let us know in the comments if you agree or disagree with anything!

Wow! They chose really good scenes!
Brilliant! Off to view a list that I thought was impossible on making!
I think they should’ve had Ron’s love potion scene.
LOL! I loved “Pucker Up”
They chose some great scenes! :D
A rather more grown-up list than the one done for ITV, and it includes quite a few of my favourites (though not Snape saying ‘ob-viously’ or the first Occlumency scene, both from OotP). But I always enjoy the witty comments of George Wales of Total Film.
haven’t seen it yet, but i know this will be EPIC!
LOVE the Neville And Nagini scene, and the Mischief Managed! All of the scenes that they chose were absolutly wonderful.
I really like the scenes that they have chosen, much better than the list that ITV came up with.
They chose some great scenes! I like the second one : You’re a Wizard
I LOVED the fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort in the Ootp movie!!! Totally agree with that one, and the “Mischief Managed” one too. :D
Should Lupin be defined as an Animagi though? (Scene 37)
epic coolness. though some of my favourite scenes weren’t included OH well.
They’ve done a great job! There are just too many of our favourite scenes to be included in top 50 ( a top 1000 list would have been a little better,I guess :p ), they’ve included some amazing scenes! :D
@ChrissyT. You’re right, Lupin isn’t really an Animagus. George Wales clearly knows his Potter stuff pretty well, but he’s a film critic, not a fanatic like us on Leaky!
