Sirius Well, people are questioning my bolding abilities. I said this was my first time on the Poll Comments, not on Leaky.
Thank you Josephine!
Josephine, sorry no it’s not in Jordon Landing, but it is in the genera; area – Jordon landing is a 70th to 76th South on the Bangerter Highway.
this place is a bit East and a bigger bit South of JL
Hi Hermione Weasley good name change!
and Hello EllaDora Snape the Masked Marauder how ya been
Chocolover – I guess I missed that in my quick skim to catch up, I appologize for that and must assure you that the people I know here never meant to upset you or insult you in any way – I would think they were making a stab at giving you a welcoming and slightly warped (as most of us are here) bit of praise.
Hi Hermione Weasley and Chocolover
Don’t tell us anything you don’t feel comfortable with having out there in an open forum of the internet but tell us something about yourselves, what you identify with yourself, generally your age (nothing specific, just can you have virtual alcohol at our parties, legally), what you enjoy. Basically, tell us who you are without telling us who you are. By this time most of us know each other’s lives stories but wouldn’t recognize each other on the street if we ran into each other. It will help us to know what you are interested in and what you like to talk about. How did you find HP and how long have you been into HP, etc.?
I have to go for awhile. My DS, daughter and I are going to the pool so I must go ready myself for battle.
I’m in my middle 40s, have a Master’s degree, but I am a stay at home mommy of one child. We are all HP fans here but I am the obsessed one.
Hi Sirius! I’m glad your wisdom teeth experience went fairly smoothly. The doctor actually told me that I would have been much better off to have gotten this done 10-12 years ago; he said that everyone should have them out no later than 20. Apparently that’s when this nerve I mentioned begins to grow, and the longer after 20 you wait, the riskier it can be – and in my case it had gone so far as wrapping around the root, as I said. So I suppose my public service announcement to our younger members would be to ask your dentists about having your wisdom teeth removed if you haven’t already. (I’d be curious to here if anyone else’s dentists refer to this nerve…though when I was talking about it at work, a couple of other people said they’d heard that before.)
korey, I am still icing…because I’m such a boring rule-follower that I’m afraid to stop, even though I was just complaining about the cold, LOL. For you, were you sleeping like that because it helped with the pain?
Hi Rhiannon! Hope the busyness has quieted down a bit by now!
Hi Lady Hawke! Yeah, sorry to have a less fun story to tell, but so far so good. Numbness is almost completely gone – just a bit of tingling left, and still no pain. (I just know I’m jinxing myself, and will be miserable later, but right now I’m just so pleased!) I am so happy to hear that the results of your father’s colonoscopy came out in the best possible way. It’s great to know that it’s something that can and will be fixed!
However, I’m sorry to hear about the hectic afternoon, and especially about the cost of the repair! My father’s car has intermittent issues with the windows, but we can usually get them to go back up by pulling them manually, and then once the window gets closer to the top, the automatic mechanism usually picks up and closes it the rest of the way. But I am definitely going to warn him about the potential cost that’s in store for him when they finally give out completely!
Hi Ella, thanks!
Thanks for the advice, Josephine!
Hi Hermione Weasley! Were you the Ginny Potter from yesterday? LOL I think I’ve seen you over in the news comments. :) Thanks for the well-wishes!
Okay, I think I’ve caught everyone who was here on my last refresh! I’m going to head next door to watch a movie with my dad…and he has nice soft garlic mashed potatoes for me, which he knows I love. What a good daddy! I’ll check in later! :)
SiriusB summed that right. We are a funny kind of warped here. Hope that does not scare you off, Chocolover. We love to laugh here.
That’s even better, SiriusB. JL is quite far – takes me close to half an hour to get there.
Hmmmmm. Need I pre-order the Beedle book or just pop in the store and get it. That’s what I did with Brisingr. B and N is just a 5 minute drive away. Decisions, decisions.
BWJen!!! I forgot to say take the analgesic before the anesthetic wears off. Best time is when it’s starting to fade and the tingling starts. This way you need not feel the pain and have a nice transition from numb to having feeling with no ouchies. Cold drinks are always a great help too.
Bookworm Jen I was 45 when I had mine out, but I never even knew they were in until I was in my 30’s, may be the geans. I never heard the nerve thingie. Sending you thoughts and calming spells for the nerve so all is well
Josephine it is worth the trip – trust me – have the Mongolian Beef and the Singapore noodles and the Egg Foo Yung and the lettuce wraps – yummie. pop in the book store – that way we can meet up and maybe Ironsos also
I checked back to see what you were referring to, Chocolover.
Won_Two is talking about himself. He’s been posting here for years but often does not use bolding to address people.
You are impressive because you are new in this corner and use it right away. It’s a sort of backhanded compliment mixed with a moue at himself.
I hope I didn’t make things muddier. hahaha
SiriusB, I always like Mongolian beef especially with a little bit of chili thrown in. I wiil try the Singapore noodles. I’m not a fan of egg foo yung but love lettuce wraps!
Yummmmm. Hungry now.
Checking in… hope everyone is having a good day. I now have no idea what time it is relative to Leaky, so I don’t know if anyone is still here. I can’t stay anyway as LemonPrincess has a volleyball game in about ten minutes that I am out the door for. Sirius in case I haven’t missed you again, I hope you have a great weekend.
LH I am sending red wine spells your way. Sit and relax when you get back from the pool, you’ve earned it. :)
BWJen I am so glad you are home and not feeling too badly! When I had mine out it went pretty smoothly, too, although I did come out of the anesthetic convinced that they had not done anything yet, LOL, and promising my doctor lots of kisses for doing such a good job. He was a tease and always told us we’d owe him kisses for doing good. Nowadays he’d probably be charged with harassment by somebody, but he was a really sweet older guy, very funny and never would have actually done anything untoward. I really liked him. He cracked up when I said I was going to owe him kisses, he laughed so hard he had tears running down his cheeks. Anyway, I hope you remain pain free and keep the swelling down. My best friend in high school went to the same doctor and also had no pain but for some reason she swelled up like a chipmunk hoarding nuts for the winter. It was pretty funny. :) I really only had some very minor bruising right under my chin, that was it.
“LOL, Headmistress LemonFaerie, the key is to drink ALL the soda out of the bottle and then refill it with water.

I am ROTFLMAO!!! Oooooooooh. bonks self on forehead… Now I get it, LOL. Smart, very smart.
Have to go to the game, hi and bye to everyone, see you guys later. XOXOXOX
well Ya’ll – it’s time for me to go home
Tell MM she is in trouble – she asks if I call e-mail her, I do right away, she gets my hopes up that something special is up and all day long I wait and wait and no e-mail, so now I have to go home, won’t get it untill Monday and have to wonder what she wanted me to e-mail for (just like a woman to keep a man waiting he mumbles under his breath(
Ya’ll have a great week-end, hope all just gets better BWJ & Lady Hawke
BTW BWJ – can I come over for some garlic mashed potatos also??
IBIM checked in and saw that you had just had surgery. She passes on her well wishes and advice – her jaw was broken in four places after surgery. =\
She says to bite down on a warm teabag where you had surgery; it helps to heal the area, promote the blood clot from moving, and anymore bleeding. A flavoured teabag is nice. ;) Vanilla Chai spice, maybeness? XD
See you next week, SiriusB!!!
I better follow your lead. Someone has to cook and feed the monsters.
Back when I can.
Josephine it will be interesting to hear what you think of the food when you go there – I love the place
Going for true now- bbwIc ya’ll
Tried to answer your questions, LadyHawke, but the post didn’t go through. Clearly I’m one of the youngest people who post on here- I’m still in high school. So, no virtual mead for me. I started HP when the SS movie came out (or PS if you’re in the UK), and I’ve read it about a million times since then. I’ll read EVERYTHING though. Most of my time is spent reading or doing homework, but I like knitting, needlepoint, and making jewelery (although I don’t like wearing it). You could compare me to Luna-I confuse people, but at least I know what I’m talking about.
Hope this helps, but for now I gotta go. Dad just came home with dinner.
Sirius What is that about your thingy? :-D
Gremayne Happy Birthday! And many more.
Jen It is now 5:15 and I have a deskful of work to do. I also have letters to write and a form to fill out. I guess I will be working tomorrow for a while.
Minerva, PB, Josephine, Lemon, and Ella Hi to you all.
