“making it through till then is going to be a what Molly called Bella in DH”
LOL, Sirius, I’m going to have to remember that one.
Hi again, *everyone!
Lady Hawke,* I hope all is going well. I have been thinking of you and your parents. xx
Mistic Willow, I hope you are having a wonderful time at your picnic!
*Bookworm Jen, I’m pleased that all went well, and you are feeling ok. Do you have a straw for your soup, that might be easier? And do you have someone looking after you?
BWJ what sis you have done, anti pain spells sent your way. I didn’t start reading the books untill after GoF came out in the movies, then started reading them the April before DH came out – read all 6 twice before DH FINALLY came out.
Cool G howdy – so maybe Jimmy will get the pole again, eh?
Whoops with the bolding, lol!
And BWJen, Leaky Time is back to being 5 hours behind me. I wonder why?
Josephine the name of the place is Chinese Kitchen Express at 3269 W 5400 S in West Valley/Taylorsville
wow it’s been a loooooong time since i have posted! even the layout has changed!! Sorry I haven’t posted! My school work has been extra heavy this year!
So how has everyone been doing?
BTW, this probably late really late like 8 pages late…..anyway congrats to Huff for being the first to comment!!!
I’m back…thanks for all the good wishes. Sirius, korey was correct – I had my left two wisdom teeth removed. The dr. would only do two at a time because apparently I have a nerve wrapped around the roots of the bottom ones so it was going to be a more complicated procedure than it normally is, as he had to extract without damaging that nerve. But he said it went well; I just have to go back on Mon for a follow up so he can make sure it’s healing properly and to see if there are any signs of nerve damage. Then we can schedule the other side.
asti, my dad does live next door, so I can get ahold of him if anything’s wrong, but so far it’s fine. I had my soup and some pudding, and it wasn’t as hard as I’d imagined. I don’t have any straws here, but it was a good suggestion! Come to think of it though, I actually would have wanted to double-check with the doctor on straws. I remember that when I had regular teeth pulled as a kid, they said I couldn’t use a straw for several days because the suction could cause the opening to unclot and start bleeding again. They didn’t say anything about that to me this time, though, so maybe it’s different since it was closed with stitches. Either way, the spoon worked, so I’m okay! :)
I’m now on icing it – which I’m supposed to do for the next 4-5 hours, half hr on, 15 min off. I don’t think I’m going to stick with it that long though. It’s SO cold! (It would be, being ice and all, I know.)
I’ll probably be in and out here while I do that and read for a while.
BWJ glad to hear you came thru ok, I was lucky – never had to have my wisdom teeth pulled untill I went in for false teeth – 3 were easy as pie, the bottom left had grown into the jaw bone so they had to crack the bone to pull it – hurt like a you know what, but only for one day.
welcome back Kurban
BWJen When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I would fall asleep with the ice packs on my cheeks. That was the only way I slept.
Sorry, I just ran off like that! Some friends showed up at my door! I really wish they would have called first…
I just read back to where I left off…I’m not sure what is going on here…but if I’m not welcome then I can leave…
Chocolover you are most certainly welcome here and if any one disagrees they’ll have to answer to me. What is confusing you?
HI Rhainnon my friend how you doin’? What is your book about?
I didn’t catch up until now. I had forgotten this was your big wisdom tooth day. I’m so glad that it is more managable than you had feared it would be. I think that if you have come this far in such good shape you are going to be okay. People like to tell horror stories. Stories where everything comes out okay without a bunch of trauma are not as much fun.
MY FATHER’S colonoscopy seems to have come out exactly as I wished it to. He has ulcerative colitis throughout his intestinal tract but it can be treated with oral medication (and enemas). So, it appears that he should be doing better in that regard in two or three weeks once the medication takes effect.
It was, INDEED, one of THOSE days otherwise. We left the doctor’s office with a couple of prescriptions that had to be left at the pharmacy. My father had consumed no real food since Wednesday evening so was in anticipation of some food. So, we were going to let them fill the prescriptions while we ate and come back for them.
As I drove away from the pharmacy drive though window I realized my father’s driver’s side window would NOT go back up. So, off we went to the dealership to the service department where we were told the entire inside unit of the door must be replaced. It ALL comes as one unit now, not seperate parts. So, if one little thing goes wrong in your door they get to replace it ALL for a grand total of over $700.
So, I had to unload my parents out of the car and get them inside the dealership waiting room. I explained our problem about food to the gentleman who was taking care of us in the office and he arranged to have the company van take us to a restaurant. Parent’s and walkers were loaded into the van. So, we went and had brunch and then waited for the van to return to pick us up. Then, the walkers and the parents had to be loaded back in the van. My father’s legs are long enough that he could just sit down on the seat. It was great for him. He has a difficult time with low seats. But my mother is tall but not quite that tall, I had to stand behind my 83 year old mother and watch her grab the handles inside the van and climb inside, TWICE. I couldn’t believe she could do it.
I had just enough time to get to the pharmacy, pick up the prescriptions, take may parents home, load the prescriptions into my father’s medicine boxes and get to the school to get in line for my daughter. I left home before 8 AM and didn’t get back until almost 3:30. I thought I was going to be home by 1 PM.
As I said, days and stories that work out just as one expects are not as interesting as the ones that go wrong.
Wow!!! My DS is home at 5 PM. He is NEVER home at 5 PM. I can’t believe it. Got to go.
Have a good evening everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAYMAYNE!! I think it is Flitwick’s too right?
Hope medical things went okay Jen and Lady Hawke.
Thanks, SiriusB. It’s a bit far for me but I’m willing to drive and check it out. It’s in the Jordan Landing place, right? Anything for our taste buds!
BWJen the no straw use rule still applies to you. Best not to risk a re-bleed.
Hello and welcome, Chocolover.
