Good afternoon everyone! I’m sorry that I wasn’t here earlier, but tension at work has been on a high today and I couldn’t risk coming here and getting tempted to catch up… didn’t want to get caught not doing work… Anyways, I’m here now and I finished catching up :)

Lady Hawk – No, and I should have! I got the regular paperback edition of Angels and Demons. Now that I think about it more, I should have just bought the special edition… I mean, if I’m going to spend money buying the book, I might have as well bought the pictorial edition for a bit more. Oh well, maybe if I really love the book, I’ll get the special edition for my collection and gift the paperback to someone :)

On the topic of audiobooks, I haven’t really listened to thaaat many audiobooks to say I’m not fond of them, but I have tried some, including Harry Potter and I much prefer to have the physical book in my hands and hear the story in my own head. Like some have said, the issue of voices and how the narrator performs them is a bit irking.

I’ll stay out of the motherhood/fatherhood/children conversation… lol! I have no experience in that department…

Well, actually, going off on a tangent of the motherhood topic… As mother’s day is approaching, I’m still trying to decide what exactly to get my mom… I have, thanks to some ideas from Laura (thanks!), looked in the direction of shows/concerts/etc. (in that line of thinking), and I found a cool concert called Classic Albums Live presents Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here that might be nice. It’s a show where musicians re-create the entire album live, note for note. My mom is a big Pink Floyd fan (and so am I, lol! she made me one) and I think I’ll be getting her tickets to that. The thing is that I don’t know how many tickets to get, or if it’s really a good idea without consulting her to see if she’s interested in it. The Classic Albums Live group seems really great and I’m sure she (and I) would enjoy it, but should I get tickets for my step-dad and my 10-year-old brother? I’d feel bad if I didn’t get them tickets and left them out of the picture, but my step-dad is not really a big Pink Floyd fan and I’m not sure if my brother will want to sit through around 50 minute concert… Also, maybe my mom would like to have a night out to enjoy herself and my step-dad, so maybe I should get them tickets… I just don’t know. I’ll probably just get 4 tickets anyways and let my mom decide what she wants to do. Though, then I’ll put the pressure on her to decide whether to have me and my brother go, or what to do, and I don’t want to put pressure on her… Maybe I should ask her if she would like to go and spoil the surprise to save her any stress? I don’t know… I overthink things… Anyways, you guys should check out the Classic Albums Live people because they seem quite good! Here’s their site: http://www.classicalbumslive.com/

Hi Won! Don’t get my thougths started on “reality,” or my head will actually start spinning. I avoid delving into THAT so I don’t go insane… What is reality? Is this all a dream? How did I come to be? How did the universe come to be? Was it the Big Bang? If matter is not created nor destroyed, how is the concept of the beginning of the universe rational? Did God create the universe? If God exists, where did he come from? Did he, or the universe pop out of nowhere, or nothingness? OK, I’m stopping… The human mind, or at least mine, is too ignorant and simple to comprehend these things… sigh

I kind of like the one about the desk I am resting my elbows on, being 99.95% empty space, and that which I am resting on is not really there… It is merely the electromagnetic force exerted by the electron cloud of the atoms making up the so called “desk” repulsing the electron clouds of the atoms making up my so called “arms”… lol lol… Now THAT’s reality for you!!!
