LadyHawke – I think I frightened my DS more than anyone else. He was witness to my episodes. He witnessed it but I lived it.
I am out and going home once again. The DS left me in the car to run an errand so I have my IPad. Let’s hope that I don’t need anymore hospitalization for a many years. This was bad enough.
One positive thing that came out of all this is that all my test results came back and there is no sign of the “C” word. YAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Now if I could get my heart to behave then we would be all good. :)
Ironsos – as I sit here in the parking lot, soft snow is falling. Didn’t I ask you to please keep it by you??
Although it makes me feel peaceful and Christmassy. Sigh. :)
It was my first day back at work today…….unhappy!
MM, how lovely to see you on your way home. I hope your family spoil you rotten and look after you beautifully! How long will you be at home before the Doctors let you go back to work? And will you need lots of checkups? Enjoy sleeping in your own bed tonight. xx
Hi to everyone!
MM I hope you feel better!!!!!! What a rough week. And I am super glad you woke your DS when you didn’t feel well. Take care of yourself we need our castle nurse, love you darling xx (also send that snow back to Ironsos, what’s wrong with him. I am sure you could get little Elmo to hand deliver it to back to him).
CoolG no facebook as of yet, though I have been considering it recently. :/
Not much new right now LH, although if I ever get the time I might head over to CC to update. Maybe over break ( if it ever comes..!)
I hope everyone is well! Alllmost the holidays!
MM PBBBBB says you are in his thoughts and he is sending healing spells to you! I’m not sure how good his magic is, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
The snow did make it here this morning. I was up around 2 AM to let the dogs out. The yard was covered with snow. The dogs have already been out 3 times today. They want out but it’s so cold they want back in after a small amount of time.
I need to wash my dishes. I always rinse all the food off of them then wait until I have enough to wash. Today is the day since I have several glasses that need to be washed and put away.
I always pay for the ham for Thanksgiving and other holidays. Then my daughter bakes it. She is suppose to take the ham to her in-laws for Thanksgiving. So I gave her the money for the ham and a side dish. I guess I will be going to her in laws for Thanksgiving after all. My daughter will feel bad if I do not go since I paid for the ham etc. The last time the extended family was together was at my grandson’s graduation party. I do not think my grandaughters will be there since they will be at their boyfriend’s family. They usually take some time to come to Beth’s during the day but probably won’t make it to this year.
Adella, there’s a film of The Book Thief? Ooooooooooooh. Why don’t I know about this?! Come back and tell me more!
Asti I think it was a limited release http://www.thebookthief.com/
I really want to see it, although, it doesn’t look like people liked it. Also, Geoffrey Rush is papa!!
Korey Thanks for the heads up, I hadn’t checked the site for a couple of weeks. Roll on July 2014!
Adella UK release is January 2014 I believe.
I received my pre-ordered copy of the extended edition of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in the five-disc DVD format. I watched the first disc of the making of the film last night – fascinating.
So here I sit in my home. One blessing that I must count is my mother in law. She has really helped me a lot. Cooking and cleaning, not the heavy cleaning but just cleaning up the clutter. The DS has been superb. He makes sure I have all I need before going to work. He prepares meals. Today I feel so much better.
I realized that I had not posted anything on Facebook about my heart condition but there are so many non family people there that I didn’t want to post it. When I finally said something Master Lew posted that she didn’t know. I told her not to worry that I had only told my family and of course you guys. That she could read it here. ;) she confessed that she had not been here in a while. :(
I thought Leaky is my family too. You would know as soon as my family knew.
MM personally, I am honored to be in your family. ;)
Actually, you all know more about what is going on in my life than any member of my family. Except my DS, that is. ;)
Adella, thank you for the link, I want to read it again now! I shall look out for the film. And I look forward to hearing how things are with you when you have time.
MM, I’m so glad to hear that you are feeling better, AND that you are being looked after. Take care. xx
I have lost a post:( Perhaps I didn’t click the submit button because it was rather late and I wasn’t thinking straight.
Yesterday evening Daniel Radcliffe was on The One Show along with Oprah Winfrey, they were guests. My DS noticed that she kept turning to include Dan when she was replying to the hosts; sometimes even the main guest can be left looking surplus to requirements in this quick moving magazine programme. It was a perfect demonstration of her superb interview skills and generosity of spirit.
I have the first of my post surgery appointments today. The DS is leaving early to take me to the doctor. I feel better.
On Monday I have an appointment with the surgeon that installed my pacemaker.
Graymayne – as a show hostesses for many, many years … Oprah probably observed too many rude guests. It’s good that she is such a good interview.
BigG gifted me a treat today, with a text message about British Jazz in the ’50’s to be found on BBC iPlayer. I used to go to concerts at the City Hall in Sheffield to listen to bands headed by Chris Barber, Kenny Ball, Humphrey Lyttleton, and Acker Bilk. They faded out of the hit parade when the Beatles became very popular. Anyway, I have just watched the programme and seen clips of my old heroes and re-lived my late teenage years. After forty odd years of being married to a modern jazz fan I still can’t bear it, I prefer my so-called traditional jazz.
It has been so cold. I finally turn on my heater that I used last year. This is to keep the air warm between the time the furnace kicks on. It is warmer this way for me.
I need to clean my house this week in case I have guest over the holidays. I mean more than my weekly cleaning. I need to put away the clutter I always have. I still need to keep things out in sight so I won’t forget them. This makes my clutter.
I think I am getting sore muscels by opening and closing the bi fold door. Someone was suppose to come take it down and take 1/4 to 1/3 inches off it so it would open and close easier. Unfortunately they have forgotten to do this. I don’t know how we managed to get them up because they are solid wood and just too heavy now for me to take down and do it myself. If this keeps up I think I will put up a regular door.
Graymayne: I would like to suggest jazzradio.com which is a great site I visit often for
background as I read.
Looks like the next couple days will be rainy then snowy.
Overtime again tomorrow…..boooo. But I am thinking of the Christmas presents it will let me buy, lol.
MM, please come and tell us what your Doctors say. It is such good news that you are feeling so much better.
Graymayne, that must have given you a lot of pleasure. When I was a teenager, I had a good friend whose Father played Acker Bilk ALL the time. I astonished him by asking for a copy of one of his tapes. Good stuff, though I admit I don’t really remember it now. Maybe I should give Ironsos’ site a listen.
CoolG, we turned on our central heating about 10 days ago, congratulating ourselves and the weather that we’d got into November without needing it. Fuel prices are a major issue here, and a big worry.
I did not receive a phone call this morning so I’ve been home today but I’ve been busy. I took my daughter to school and my mother to my father. Since I;ve been homeI’ve had all sorts of laundry that had been washed but not ironed and some mending to do. I’ve washed bedding and I’ve prepped dinner for tonight. I’ve decided what to have tomorrow night, something simple since I already know I’ll be working.
I finallly had a offer on the website which I was able to accept without having to wait for a phone call tomorrow morning. I’ll be substituting two English IV classes to high school seniors and one theatre class, finally something I am at least a bit prepared to work with. The teacher’s planning period is at the end of her day so I should be out of there shortly after 1 PM. So, after delivering my mother to my father I’ll have some time to come home and prep dinner.
Asti – I only went to my GP who also monitors my diabetes and my low blood count. She ordered blood work checked on my new medications that I was given in the hospital and adjusted my diabetes medicine again. Monday is the pacemaker specialist.
Today was the first day I was up for a longer period of time. The DS came home early to take me to my doctor appointment. He then took me out to lunch at our favorite restaurant. It was nice.
I’m up and getting dressed. I’ve been up since 5 AM and it is not 6 AM and it is still dark. I don’t really understand why there are “early start” schools and “late start schools”. My daughter won’t have to be at school until an hour after classes have started where I am going. She won’t even be awake when I leave.
MM, I hope the weekend goes well for you and you can continue to recuperate without a lot of stress.
LadyHawke – The school I work at is an early start school. For us it’s to be in the school before the high school starts. We have 2,800 students coming to our school and the high school that houses only freshmen students has another 1,500. They are down the street from us. Starting at different times makes sense. This way they avoid close to 4,500 kids in the streets at the same time. Never mind the traffic jam of parents dropping off their children. I have never witnessed it because I’m too busy in the office to go outside but I have heard it is an incredible traffic jam around our school. Thank God I start work one hour before the madness. :/
Shoot She use to do 30 Minute Meals and now has her own TV Show……… She is going to have someone from THE BOOK THIEF on her show tomorrow. Rachel Ray…..knew her name would finally come to me. Maybe it is Kelly and Michael but I think it was Rachel Ray’s show that gave the preview of who was going to be on tomorrow. Since this is Friday it must be on Monday.
Sorry but by the time I got on here most of the information was already forgotten. I should have written it down at once.
