Lady Hawke Could your router need to be reset? Isn’t your DS using the desktop that is connected to your ISP while you and your daughter have wireless connections? It may be worth a try. ;)

If in doubt, I always turn everything off (computers, routers, etc.) and then on again.

Lady Hawke: Are your electronics plugged into a surge protector? Handy item to have.

Good evening!

We’ve just watched the footage of William and Catherine on the hospital steps, babe in arms, little hands peeping out of his blanket.
Talking of Royalty, my daughter might get to meet The Princess Royal! Or, at least, attend the same event at the same time.

LEW, I love that they told the world that William changed the first nappy!
Daughter’s feeling a little daunted at the possibility!

I missed the bit about the changing of the nappy. When I saw it was about to stream I ran to turn the TV on. I must have missed the nappy comment. I heard about the good lungs. It was a quite different presentation than when his parent4 came out to present the Duke. Prince Charles was quite stiff in his suit an not at all “hands on”.

Is The Princess Royal coming to an event At school or are the children being taken somewhere she will appear? I believe I heard her daughter, Zara Philips, has just announced a pregnancy. Her child will be something around 14th or 15th line to the throne at this point, I think.

Hello, Lady Hawke, daughter has been invited to the event by her Grandad, who is involved in the project at which HRH is officiating. He sent an email this morning, wondering if she had been “infected with Royalist tendancies,” after all the news of the"pedigree baby," and would like to attend. I love my Dad’s emails!!

The TV station that broadcasts the parade has moved their stand around the corner an down a block. They
will now be in complete sunlight. I am staying in the shade of the Hotel as usual. The parade starts a half block
up from me so I will hear the music which I enjoy most of all. Do not know why they moved their stand.

Evening all! I can’t believe that we had to be off line from Thursday morning until this afternoon at about 5.0pm when there was all the Royal excitement going on!! I was also disappointed that the new offspring was a boy for the same history-making reasons. However, Kate can feel slightly smug about producing a boy when her Mum produced two girls, I did. My sister had three daughters and no sons. I changed my England Expects bracelet for a gently patriotic male baby theme, but we had no available sun when my camera man was around, so no photos yet.

My DS went to buy a new phone to replace our Amstrad emailer, because there was a continuous hiss on it that had nothing to do with the outside phone line. I was slaving over copying all the phone numbers onto our computer when my DS suddenly

spotted that we were back on line. Our broadband provider, Orange, were not due to contact us until tomorrow, but they didn’t
tell us that our problem had been solved. The British Telecom engineer who came on Monday at Orange’s request reported that neither the lines nor our equipment was at fault, the problem was at their end. The whole experience of trying to get it sorted was very exhausting, especially during our recent heatwave.

At about 4.30am this morning I was awake and playing solitaire on the PC when I heard thunder. At first it was just sheet lightning but suddenly the rain increased to a squall and was blowing down the village main street almost horizontally and the lightning started streaking down to earth. I don’t think I have experienced worse conditions in the UK! It has been a long day.

I am enjoying TCC but life keeps interrupting my enjoyment. I like her very descriptive style which paints pictures in my mind so that I almost feel like a fly on the wall watching it happen.

I’m very tired but I’m glad to be home, I missed your company so much.

GRAYMAYNE, good to see you back. I’m glad I have a smartphone. At least I’m not completely cut off.

We were discussing the potential title of the baby a few weeks ago. I am pleased to note I guessed correctly. It will, indeed, be HRH Prince “Name” of Cambridge.

Technically, it shouldn’t be Kate gloating to her mom, but rather William gloating to Mr. Middleton. It’s the male genome that determines the sex of the baby.

I have finished. Even though I enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to the next novel – I found the story exhausting to read. It is jam packed with information and it was not a story I could settle down with before bed. I needed to be awake to read this one.

I would read it right up to the point I turned the lights off and then my mind would be racing so I couldn’t sleep. I ended back up with the book a couple of times.

Snape was wondering that since the Father is 100% royal and the Mother is 0% royal does that
mean that the baby is the half blood prince?

IRONSOS, thanks for sharing that.

For some totally unknown reason my daughter and I are now connected to our home wifi. We have done nothing. She just came in and picked up her Kindle and it was working and I opened my laptop and it is as well.

I’ve called my DS and he did not do anything. He has no idea. He actually seemed a bit nonplussed, as if he is concerned we have a gremlin in our system waiting to strike us unaware.

Good evening!

They’re good, traditional names, but a bit predictable. There has been a lot of commentary today about Kate’s dress and how it emphasised her “Mummy Tummy.” She has been widely praised for not trying to hide it, unlike many famous Mums, and appearing in public in a natural state.

I am up to page 190! I am off tomorrow, and intend to give it my full attention.

Asti: It was a good parade this year and lasted 1hr 55 min. Usually has a large group from the military
but due to budget cuts they were missing this year except for three large troop carriers with kids from
the “Make a wish” foundation. Huge crowd where I was.

I am not sure about videos but would think so as a link at least.
