Probably 99% of James Gandolfini’s fame came from “The Soprano’s” TV show. I liked
the show yet was not a huge fan.

Good evening!

There’s no overtime available this week, so I now have three lovely days off. Daughter’s leg is responding nicely to the medicine, though the puncture hole where the thorn went in is still very obvious. And it was only a tiny little thorn.

Lady Hawke, I hope the check up went ok, and your Mother is enjoying her improved vision. Thinking of you all for the rest of it.

So far, so good. I still have my small, pink bumps (Urticaria) but at least the itching has stopped, hallelujah! Tomorrow could have more rain showers and I am not keen to go out to lunch to celebrate a wet Summer Solstice, but I’ll wait until tomorrow before making a final decision.

It is 11.45pm so I will post my wishes for a Happy Summer Solstice to all, tomorrow:) May your children, animals, crops and fruit trees grow and thrive in the summer sunshine which we hope is to come.

Not going to be around much over the weekend. Going to a friends house to do some refinishing work.

LadyHake did not return to post about her mom’s doctor visit.

Tomorrow is my first Friday off for the summer. I have lunch plans with my sisters. :)
What a great start to the summer.

I foresee a trip to Texas soon. My mother-in-law wants to be here when my brother in law has his hip surgery, I already called the Dialysis Centers to see if they can treat my mother-in-law while she is here. They will set it p for us. She doesn’t want to fly so the DS and I will go get her. :)

Morning

I went to sleep early last night so of course I was up early this morning. My cable and internet were off. It just came back on. I never lost the info for the TV but that was all I could get. I was just getting ready to call Comcast when it came back on. I can do without the TV but not the internet. I was going to use my phone but did not have too thank goodness.

First day of summer and it is suppose to be in the 90’s. I guess I should turn on the air early. I try not to use it if it is not too hot.

I am afraid I did not find the comment about the lady who had eye surgery thinking something had been done to her skin funny. The same thing happened to me. My skin was not dark but it sure had more wrinkles than I was use to. The only part of me that does not look like an old person is my boobs. They still look good. Hmm should I have said that? Lol The eye drops were a problem for me too. I had the nurse make up a list of times and mark the eye drops for me. I had one eye done and then the next week had the other done. Between both eyes, I was going to be checked every week.

I found the skin comment funny, but in a sad kind of way. I suspect that when I have to get my eyes done I will notice a whole bunch of things that I am only vaguely aware of now. I can tell that I am getting closer, but I’m not at the stage where it needs to be done. ;)

Cool G The least aged part of me is/are (?) my lower legs. They are still firm and have very good shape. Everything above the knees sags, droops or has wrinkles. Or all three. ;)

Sorry, I came and caught up last night and I thought I posted something. I must have become distracted.

The doctor was quite pleased by the initial outcome of the surgery. We went to lunch and then took daddy home and we did the grocery shopping. We didn’t do it on Wednesday because of the surgery. It turns out we could have done so because we were told after the surgery it was fine to go out for breakfast and to run errands. I had worried about there being a funeral around a cataract surgery. If it had come to that we could probably have left the surgery center and headed out of town.

I am in the mood to drive somewhere, just not to a funeral. We’ve put almost 2000 miles on the car in the last two months just from driving to funerals. I want to go somewhere happy and fun.

IRONSOS, sorry, the idea is old and tired here. My daughter came running to tell me yesterday she had just watched a woman drive down the street backward and drive pass the house in reverse.

Good evening!

I’ve had a lovely lazy day. I watched my son do the hoovering and polishing, and read a WHOLE book, which is going some even for me, lol! Its called The Light Between Oceans, by M L Stedman, and is a pretty good light read.

Ironsos, my Father has been known to drive several times round and round a roundabout before deciding which exit he needs. And no, I am not sure that he should ever have been allowed a license!
I hope you enjoy your time with your friend.

Lady Hawke, I hope you found something fun and relaxing to do, you certainly deserve it. I am so glad all went well for your Mother.

Graymayne, did you manage to get out? It’s been a just about pleasant day here, so I hope you did. Happy Summer Solstice! Have you ever been to Stonehenge for the Solstice?

MM, Enjoy your Free Fridays!

CoolG, I am still smiling at your comment! I wish I could say the same!!

I’m spending my afternoon waiting for UPS to deliver my android tablet that I sent off for repair (darn cat!) seemingly ages ago. Problem is, I never know exactly when they’ll deliver – though I usually end up waiting most of the day for them (but hopefully before I leave for work). Being payday, I’d rather celebrate the day and take myself out to lunch – especially since this is the first payday in a very long time that I have not had to run out and do the “payday loan shuffle” – paying and then renewing multiple payday loans. They’re terrible things; don’t ever get them! Last payday, I paid the last of them off. And then, you know what I did? I bought my self a pair of bright orange, pink and purple knee socks. Why? You might ask? So, that I can say, “Cherie has given herself a sock. Cherie is freeeeeee!” LOL!

Maybe I’ll treat myself to a movie tomorrow.
Have a great day, everyone!

I’m afraid I ate up most of my trying to do refinancing on our mortgage loan before the interest rates increase anymore. So, we didn’t get out to do as much as we would have liked. We did go and “window shop” at the bookstore for a bit. My daughter found something she wanted but we had drinks while sitting and reading and ended up with a coupon at the drink counter which is good for 20% off tomorrow. So, my daughter is going to defer her purchase until tomorrow.

Then, we went grocery shopping for fresh oysters for tomorrow when we finally celebrate Father’s Day and my father’s 90th birthday. My mother needed celery for the potato salad she is making so we dropped that off and came home.

MISS HAGRID, congratulations on your newfound freedom. I have always been afraid of those. I hope you never have to do one of them again. Is there a movie to be seen? There hasn’t been anything I really wanted to see for some time.

We are just doing hamburgers tonight. I am still afflicted with lack of motivation.

Asti Yes, I did manage to work up some enthusiasm for eating out because my rash is sufficiently reduced on my neck and cheeks that no-one would take any notice, and the weather hinted that it might just cheer up. I’ll do a report and post two photos tomorrow at cc.

There have been some excellent photos at www.theonering.net. They have been picking apart the recent trailer for the second part of The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug. I am working on ideas for a necklace to wear to the film because a bracelet just doesn’t seem feasible.

I was up very early this morning so I think an early night is in order.
