Yes I did enjoy what we got of Midnight Sun, I’m amazeed that she could give us 2 different views (actually more than 2 since Edward dcould read everyone’s mind) of what was happening, it gave me a new opinion of Jessica, Mike and Rose, I loved getting more Alice & Jasper. I really hope Stephanie finds a way to finish and publish it.

GOLF! Seriously Sirius. I have never touched a golf club in my life. Seriously stupid game. I used to spend my day off doing all those errands that the family needed done and you can’t do on the weekends. (I had a husband not a wife.) Now I spend it doing things I want to do, like writing or being with the grandkids.

This is the first time I have felt the needed to ask for thoughts, prayers or whatever else you do for strength. It is for my co-worker. He has 3 small children. They are aged 3, 2, 1. He has recently discover his wife has been cheating on him for a while. He is now going through a divorce.

He isn’t even sure if his children are biologically his. He has stated that they are his regardless, but that still had to hurt.

I can’t catch up again, I’m not really here (and I see I missed Miss Ava last night, dang it, glad you’re back!) but I am running through, and Rhiannon I’m leaving in like Two MINUTeS so I may be a few minutes late, see you soon, be careful! Hi everyone!!

Are any of the children male?

I ask because if he goes to ancestry.com and looks up his last name, they may have a DNA testing group. These groups have made arrangement with an independent laboratory too a modified DNA test that will chart males only of that last name.

Because the lab can expet a group and it is not full DNA testing the group members get a discount rate.

Of course there have been groups in which quite a few members have found that they are not biologically related to their fathers and others who find that the true paternal parent may be someone they considered an uncle. So it can get messy as far as relationships with parents go.

He may prefer not to know any of that.

I do hope he comes through this with strength and can find serenity on the other end.

My mother used to say that there were only two certainties about babies, the mother and the gender. And sometimes the gender is in question. ;)

I don’t know if he will have DNA testing done. He may have to, to prove the adultry. I also think he needs to know before he can settle the situation in his heart. He will always wonder. If it’s settled, he can make the appropriate decision knowing all the facts.

Oh and they are boy, girl, boy.

Korey, your poor friend, what a nightmare for him. To face DNA testing to see if the children he loves are actually his must be hugely frightening for him. Not to mention having to deal with his wife’s affair. I hope it all works out for the best for him, and the children. xx

I was just realizing that I had finished all my homework already. I was just about to celebrate when I checked my e-mail and found a message from my friend reminding me about a Biology report I have to do for tomorrow. sigh free time doesn’t exist for me.

It’s really weird having only 3 digits at the top of the screen. It just looks weird.

Korey My prayers are with your friend. The DNA thing is a difficult question. Would it make a difference in how he feels about his children if he did the testing? If he loves them then they are his irreguardless. And the potential fall out years from now is too complex to imagine. I think somethings are better left to the heart and not to science.

That is terrible. I don’t think I would want to know. If I loved my children and just wanted to be able to keep on loving them in the same way I don’t think I would want to know. Some states don’t care what a paternity test shows. They consider the responsible/real father the person on the birth certificate, no matter what subsequent tests say. I can’t remember which ones off the top of my head but I remember hearing cases in the news in which men who found out they were NOT their children’s fathers were still considered to be responsible for them, even when they didn’t want to be. If that is still the case finding out is just for emotional purposes and may not have the positive emotional outcome he is hoping for.

LOL laura!!!! We also had this discussion on the muscles that hold things in and how when someone dies the muscles relax and well… you get the idea. ;)
