Afternoon all! Sorry I wasn’t on earlier I became side tracked then I had to dash about getting ready to go to the cinema to see the new Star Trek. WOW!!! What a ride! It was brilliant! The CG is just amazing and I didn’t go to the IMAX. There really is no substitute for the cinema experience.

I have a small project going on at the moment which I will reveal when it is ready.

Off to watch the TV for a while.

All 3 movies that I like better than the book, I saw the movies first. It’s the main reason why I’m now so adamant about reading the book before I see the movie.

Good to see you, Graymayne. The DS and son saw Star Trek on Sunday, and loved it. Son has been raving about it. (I got to see Hannah Montana with my daughter, but let’s not talk about that!)

Laura, as a rule I won’t watch a film unless I’ve read the book. There have been some exceptions, but I’d so much rather read the book first and form my own impressions.

The new Dan Brown book is being publicised quite heavily at my local book shop. I can’t for the life of me remember the title. Neither of those posted sound familiar. I will check out the posters tomorrow, and let you know.

should really be doing homework I’ve got my first softball practice today. I’m really nervous because after not doing anything all winter I usually stink and wind up getting stuck in the outfield. And this is the first time in 3 years my friend down the street won’t be on the same team as me. I also have a really long homework assignment for tonight and American Idol’s on too.

I feel like every time I come here, I complain about something. Sorry, feel free to tell me if I’m being annoying.

Welcome JRae!!! Feel free to join in whenever.

There’s a story on Yahoo about how a woman in St. Louis found a copy of the New Moon script in the trash. How it got in the trash, nobody knows. :o

I thought "The Last of the Mohigans" was a great book and a rotten movie, lol

Rhia I knew what you meant – I was just commenting that I thought both books were equally good.

I read "The DeVinci Code" first. And think both endings were just a bit too convenient. And yes Tom Hanks is one of my Fav actors, but is too old to be Robert Langdon. Maybe Russell Crow?

It has been a long time since I read either one. I think I will make a point of not revisiting Angels and Demons until after I have seen the movie.

Well, I see that Lindsay Lohan is 7 weeks preggers… I wonder if this had anything to do with her breakup with her "girlfriend"???

Are they even broken up still?

Was watching TMZ a day or so ago and Lohan was leaving Sam’s house in the morning, with her dog…

And I thought Leaky had abandoned the posting of new polls.

Psst. You don’t really see me here. I’m supposed to be scrambling to finish a bunch of homework for an advanced web design class. Hopefully starting next week I can pop in here and play much more often.

Personally I really like Tom Hanks and he was what made the movie Davinci Code so enjoyable for me. I have the DS on the look out for Angels and Demons for me. I know it was out a long time ago but that was back when I had problem reading so didn’t get it then.

I had watch bits and pcs. of Cold Mountain until last week end. I really liked it. I kept wondering who the dad was until I saw the credits. Then I saw it was our own Mad Eye.

It really is a tie between Leaky to fix it’s poll and Ron and Hermione to kiss…but their relationship was growing all along while Leaky Polls…well…fail. in an epic sort of fashion. Well good job on getting a new one up! I’m actually a non-regular, but I only found out about Leaky like a half a year ago (and being active on here), so since there was no new poll for me to comment on…well…ya know.

Kayzz, we’ve been together here for years now just hanging out and talking with one another. It’s pretty cool I guess… You’re welcome to stay around and join in if you’d like.

No one here bites, unless you’re into that kind of thing :)

Leaky? Amazing? Nahhhh :P

Sirius, Guess I’ll be mostly whurking since I work from home now (after going to an office for 28 years, it will take some getting used to). Thank you for explaining the lurking levels. Or maybe that should be vourking, for virtual office lurking?

Two of my favorite "almost as good as" book to movie adaptations are To Kill A Mockingbird and The Color Purple.

Hi kayzz yes it is and yes we are, but we have new people join us all the time, feel free to pop in whenever you feel like it and join in the conversation, we do have the general rule to keep things PG – 13 and to agree to disagree with each other when necessary.

So softball practice was not horifying. It turns out that most of the girls are younger and less experienced than me, so hopefully I won’t be the one bringing down the team this year. I might even get in the infeild!! Also, one of the girls on the team lives across the street from me, so we can carpool and I can actually get to the feild on time!! I managed to catch some balls even and was one of the two people who wasn’t afraid to slide. And the coach is nice too although he made us do a lot of running. And there’s at least one irl who’;s definitely shorter than me, which is a brand new experience for me. It’s really quite amazing.

And then there was AI, no spoilers from me, but just wow…and WOW…and wow
