They’ve admitted my sister, so hopefully my next post will be a baby announcement. :D
Jen, that would be very nice! Please let us know! :+)
BWJen What fascinating nephews you have!
I am now going to swop over to the current poll.
IT’S A GIRL!! My sister said they all screamed in the delivery room because they were so surprised. Everyone had just been expecting a boy because my sister had had such a feeling that it would be. In my excitement over it being a girl (and the fact that I was half asleep), I completely forgot to get details like time, weight, and length, lol. I believe the name she was going to use is Mikayla (Makayla? I’m not sure how she’s gonna spell it), calling her Kayla for short. She called just before 5am, so I’m guessing the baby was born at 4-something. I’ll post more later, including a pic. I’m so excited; I can’t believe we have our first girl!
Congratulations JEN! Can’t wait to hear the details.
I’m following GRAYMAYNE to the NEW POLL.
Congratulations Jen on the new baby girl
Congrats JEN! Good note to switch polls on!
Congratulations, Jen ! hugs
And to your sister especially. Girls are so much fun.
Congratulations to your whole family, Jen! That’s great news! ;)
Congrats Jen.
switching polls
Wow, are we really off to the new poll?
OK! See you there!
Jen, I’m so pleased it’s a girl. I was delighted when I ended up with one of each. You’ll have so much fun!
Just a super quick run-through, I’ve been basically gone for two days straight, but CONGRATULATIONS, JEN & SISTER & NEW BABY!!! How exciting! And a girl, how fun. :) I love the name (which is also LC’s girlfriend’s name, just btw, LOL.) If he’d been a girl we were going to name him McKenna Colleen, but I’ve always liked Mikayla, too. I hope mother and daughter are both doing great and getting to know each other. :)
I had a friend over yesterday and today I had my GSRWA meeting up in Bellevue, to which the DS drove with me as we then went and ran around the mall and then met friends for dinner prior to going to another concert: the B-52’s and, surprisingly, The Human League. I had no idea they were opening for the B-52’s, so that was a great surprise, and the concert was terrific, MUCH better than Huey Lewis. Now I am crawling into bed, though, this has been SUCH a long day and I’m utterly exhausted. I’ll check back tomorrow, have a good night, everyone.
:)
LEMON, we’ve moved to the New Poll.
Hello Everybody, I just got home from work, and my right foot is hurting!!!! a bit
Congradulations Auntie Jen!!!!!! I like the name Makayla or Mikayla
Ok, we have moved again!!!!!! then why am I posting this here???? I am slow but sure!!! all over again!!!!!!
Leaky is totally dusting…
While I’m waiting, I went back a bit to catch up…
LH and Deanie, I’m fine with moving to the newer poll. I’m not sure if it will make a difference in whether the poll is included in the redesign, but it can’t hurt to try. :)
Graymayne, I’m constantly amazed by some of the things my nephews come up with, and especially the differences in their abilities and perceptions. My five-year-old nephew would definitely not be able make the character judgments about himself that the six-year-old did with the Sorting. Granted, there’s a year’s age difference, but I don’t think it’s just that. The younger one just isn’t as introspective as his cousin. On the other hand, the five-year-old is so technologically knowledgable, it astounds me. When I got my iPhone, he taught me how to use some of the features! He knows how to make calls, send texts (including photo and video attachments) and play games on it. In contrast, when the six-year-old called to tell me about his first day of school, I could hear my sister in the background explaining, “No, keep that part near your ear and talk into the bottom.” LOL! They’re different in so many ways! :)
Thanks, LH! I love that she doesn’t know if it’s a boy or a girl. That’s what’s building the anticipation. I just can’t wait to find out what it is. :)
