Having a tweet time with the Doctor and Donna

First things first, blog – I know it’s been forever. I’ve been having a hard time thinking up fresh stuff to say on here while Doctor Who is on holiday. I have to say, I love love LOVED Planet of the Dead. Fantastic! I don’t want to spoil you if you haven’t seen it yet, but it’s on DVD now through Netflix and other sources, so go watch it. ‘Kay? ‘Kay.

I thought I’d share with you one thing that’s keeping me from going over to BBC Wales and actually kicking their butts for the lag time between specials. 😉 In fact, it’s a little bit of a guilty secret for me, so think of this as kind of a confession.

I am following Donna and the Doctor on Twitter.

First, you have to know about me that I had been sort of stubbornly resisting Twitter for a long time now, figuring I don’t have time to take on yet another social network.

So the fact that I even gave in and got a Twitter account is a big, big deal.

Second, I know it’s not really David Tennant and Catherine Tate I’m following. It’s probably some other fangirl or fanboy who’s bored and thinks it’s fun to do a little role playing.

But at the risk of unleashing my inner nerd (too late, eh?), I get such a little kick out of updates like “Seems like communications in the Tardis are being affected by meteor interference, we may just have to stay in limbo for a while” and “*Closes tardis door*”.

If you really wanted to go all out, you could follow Captain Jack and the new Doctor and even Lady Christina. Here’s a sampling of what’s out there, just in case you want to unleash your inner nerd, too:

And I have no doubt that’s just scratching the surface. After all, you can follow about a bazillion Harry Potters, any number of the actors, and even wizard rockers if you want.

Oh, and you can even follow me and the reading groups. We’re on there, too.

Happy tweeting!
