The BBC’s Julie Gardner is reported planning a move to the states. We know she’s stepping down as head of drama for BBC Wales and executive producer of Doctor Who. But – wouldn’t this put her in a better position to oversee location filming for Who in the states (especially if it happens for the four specials set for release next year)? Brief disclaimer – the BBC is NOT confirming a move for Gardner. But the rumor about filming in the states has been out there for a while.

Where would you like to see the filming done? Seattle or San Francisco might be fun. They’ve already done Daleks in Manhattan, so that’s one American icon already taken care of. Of course, you can’t beat DC in the springtime under the blossoming cherry trees. And Mt. Rushmore or the St. Louis arch or the Grand Canyon might be good, too.
