Finding My Roots

By the
time you read this, I’ll be working on making sure all loose ends are tied up
in the crafts gallery so that the next crafty witch or wizard who takes the job
of uploading photos of creative and wonderful Harry Potter related hand-crafted
items can have an up to date gallery to begin with (or at least not too far
behind).

Life is
an ongoing process, a continual growing and sometimes in that growing, there is
a time to find one’s roots again. To renew the excitement they felt when
they first discovered something they love. That time has come in my life
and my fandom.

It’s not
that I don’t care for Harry Potter and the wonderful books JKR gave us. Totally
the opposite! I still love the magic and tales woven in each one

But what
I do miss and want to get back in touch with is the Creativeness and the
Non-commercialism that I found when I first began reading the books and
becoming a part of the fandom. There are so many areas now in the HP
Fandom, and each of them has their place, be it wizard rock or crafts or the
new Wizarding World Park or the movies or fanfic and fan art. Each person
knows what their niche in fandom is.

For me,
it has become time to return to what I found to be the heart of the potter
universe — the creativity that gives expression to love for Harry Potter.
To do this, I’ve been making some changes and one of those is leaving my
position here at The Leaky Cauldron. It’s been almost four years now and I’ve
seen and done much that I might not have before. I’ve met some wonderful
people and I hope to remain in touch with at least some of those.

Now, if
you will excuse me, I’m off to immerse myself in the magic
