Harry Potter Crafts and the Events For Which (Witch?) We Create Them

As we have just found out, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be opening on June 18, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. This is a very, VERY exciting thing! We have known about this attraction for years now, and it is finally almost open to the public!
It has been a long time since we’ve really had anything this huge to anticipate. I know that there is a movie coming out in November, but as far as I’m concerned, the last time I was this excited about something was when Deathly Hallows the BOOK was released! I know that there won’t be any midnight release parties in bookstores around the world, but I am certain that there will be a ton of Potter fans heading to Orlando to take place in the festivities.
As crafters, we know that Harry Potter events and crafts go hand-in-hand. While it might not be prudent to knit a house scarf to wear in June, in Florida, there are all sorts of other crafty things we can make to wear to the park, or just to commemorate the occasion in our own homes or with our friends.
