Greetings fellow crafters,
(I am rather feeling like we crafters should have some sort of hand signal to greet each other with, like the Vulcans’ Live Long and Prosper thing. Hm.. we should really consider this further at some point.)
In my last post I treated you all to a little pre-school year anxiety. Sorry ’bout that. I have to say thank you to all that commented, though. You are all so kind, thoughtful, and encouraging.
As expected, the first week of school was a bit hectic and it will take a while to get used to the new schedule. To my dismay, I have found that my backpack is so full of notebooks, textbooks, and my laptop computer that there simply isn’t room to also safely pack my knitting as well. (I would hate to snap one of my favorite bamboo double-pointed needles!)
By the time I get home, get the kids to bed and get my own reading or homework done, I’m ready for bed as well. So I’ve even skipped late-night knitting.
Yeah, my crafting is suffering a little. However, I’m not. I don’t feel particularly deprived. I know that my yarn will be waiting for me when I come back to it. What I’m starting to get a little concerned about is Halloween. I was planning on skipping the fancy-costume ideas because I didn’t feel like I’d have time to put something really good together. I just found out though, that my local HPA chapter are planning to march in our city’s Halloween parade, which means we all really need to step up the Harry Potter costuming. Now is the time, I think, to quit putting off the making of an amazing HP costume ensemble.
I’d better get to work. Stay tuned.
Love and crafting,Rosemary / Quietish
