How HP Changed Me

Harry Potter has had a large influence on my life; from new knowledge of other cultures, to the friends I have gained from this awesome series– the list goes on and on. When I was thinking about an idea for a blog, I was stumped for a while. Then, after chatting with someone, I was given the idea of perhaps just doing a blog about how the fandom and the series has changed and affected my life. Not only has my life changed because of these books, but I think it’s fair to say that if you’re currently reading this blog, the odds are in favor that Harry Potter has had an impact on your life in some form as well. It may be a casual love for reading the series, or a deeper obsession that so many of us have, which includes myself.

In case you didn’t already know– my name is Jeff. As stated in my Bio, I have been an avid fan of the Harry Potter series since second grade. That amounts to around 7 years of reading the Potter books– exactly half of my lifetime spent around the series; and while I’ve only been part of the actual fandom for two years (my second Leaky Lounge anniversary join date was July 5th), my life has still changed dramatically because of Jo’s awesome series.

My overall goal with this blog is to create a spot where you can come to read and relate to my stories: of how the fandom has influenced my life, and influenced the rest of the world as well.
