Thanks Jade, for letting us know that the official Christopher Lee Web site has said that they have no official confirmation that Lee is slated to play Dumbledore. Back to rumor status. As it says:

Entertainment Weekly is running this piece about the Dumbledore replacement possiblities (and call Dumbledore a 2,000-year-old wizard...).

Emily sent us this link to a TVGuide story that quotes producer David Heyman (who, I forgot to report earlier, is one of the most gentlemanly people I've ever met) on the publication of book five. Nothing new, but good quotes.

The official site for Christopher Lee is reporting that Lee will indeed play the part, with promise of comment from the actor as soon as possible. I'm still slightly wary, but this is looking more veracious by the moment. (Thanks Emily.)

The Sun is reporting that Christopher Lee, Saruman in Lord of the Rings, has been tipped to play Dumbledore, replacing Richard Harris. There is no comment from Cuaron or anyone in the know in this piece, and this seems very, very soon to have replaced Dumbledore - but who knows. File this in the rumor pile until furtherContinued...

Thanks Jennifer, for pointing out that you can get the Oprah: After the Show footage streamed through your computer if you don't have the Oxygen network. I wonder, though, if the site is prepared for a million Harry Potter fans downloading... :-)

Thanks Taradiane for a heads up about extra footage from Tuesday, October 29th's Oprah show, which will be shown on the Oxygen Channel in the U.S. Oprah - After the Show will air at 7:30 Eastern and again at 10pm Eastern, and it is a half-hour program.
