Robert Pattinson was hired for the role of Cedric Diggory a week after meeting director Mike Newell at an audition. After the film's debut, he was named by the newspaper The Times as one of the "British Stars of Tomorrow". Before joining the Potter cast, Robert performed in with the Barnes Theatre group, appearing in such stage productions of the musical Anything Goes and noted plays Our Town and Tess of the D'Ubervilles. Robert also appeared in the motion picture The Sword of Xanten , Vanity Fair and has just been cast as Edward in the upcoming adaptation of "Twilight." Robert recently appeared again on stage at the OSO Arts Center in the great Shakespearian play MacBeth. In his spare time, Robert enjoys skiing, football, and music where he plays the guitar and keyboard. Robert Pattinson currently resides in England.
