Actor Jason Isaacs began his career on the UK stage, and appeared in the Royal National Theatre production of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Angels in America. Turning to motion pictures, he soon gained wider public recognition for his role in Dragonheart, which co-starred David Thewlis (Remus Lupin). His performance in Mel Gibson's The Patriot gained him much public acclaim, and a nomination for the London Film Critics Circle Awards for "British Supporting Actor of the Year." Jason made his first Potter appearance in 2002 as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He also appeared in Passionada, and portrayed both Captain Hook and Mr. Darling in the film Peter Pan. In 2004 Jason made a memorable series of guest appearances as photographer Colin Ayres on the award winning television series The West Wing. Currently Jason is starring in the second season of the hit TV series on Showtime called called Brotherhood and received a prestigious Golden Globe nomination for his performance in "The State Within."Jason Isaacs also reprised his role as Lucius for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007. Jason recently appeared on the London stage in a production of "The Dumb Waiter," and in 2008 will be seen in the film "Good" with Viggo Mortensen. The father of two children, Jason Isaacs lives in London.
