Born: October 28, 1988 in County Kildare, Dublin, Ireland

Devon Murray has been acting since the age of six. After several successes singing in nationwide talent contests, Devon joined the Billie Barry Stage School. Just two weeks later, he was cast in his first television commercial. Within six months, he appeared in his first film, This is My Father.; He then joined the National Performing Arts School. Devon's breakthrough role was Middle Malachy in Angela's Ashes (1998). In 2000, Devon appeared in the television film Yesterday's Children. Since 2001, Devon has played Harry's fellow Gryffindor Seamus Finnigan in all four Harry Potter films, and is expected to return for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Devon is an only child who resides in Celbridge, County Kildare (Ireland) He owns six horses, and is an accomplished rider, competing in show-jumping events throughout Ireland.
