Harry Potter book publisher Bloomsbury made mention in a recent Reuters report regarding its yearly profits, that "[I]t was counting on a new Rowling three-book box set tied into the Potter series, and a non-fiction account of spies in World War II to support sales in the coming year."
This is quite interesting news, for we have yet to hear whether this "three-book set" will come in the form of a new release or, even, new Harry Potter material. (We can dream!)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I wonder what it’s going to be. If it is more Hogwarts books I would be happy to buy them and read them. I’ve read basically every book by Jo except for Quidditch Through the Ages. I still gotta buy that.

Well now, this soften the blow from JKR’s other news. I would very much love it to be Hogwars Library Books, and if this is the case I will be one very happy girl. :) It must be something new, otherwise it wouldnt be a sales booster.

Hmmm and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant! I hope this is what we hope it might be.
I still think that JKR should employ young writers to keep the HP universe alive with expanded universe books and short stories like George Lucas has done with Star Wars,

It is too vague. Sigh…
LunaLuver: New editions of existing books do boost sales – it is why publishers do them and I could see a boxed set of QA, FB and Beedle bringing in enough money to be worth doing, probably e-book versions would be as well and it is possible that new paper editions could be tied in to e-book editions appearing a bit later on Pottermore.

I have the quidditch and magical beasts and beedle the bard. The first two came in a box set when they first came out for comic releif…and the box said Hogwarts Library Box Set. I’ve seen Tales added to that set recently under the same title. But everyones right—why would that bring in a lot of money if its just a repackage? But here’s another question: Would Jo release to huge books in one year? Vacancy and Harry Potter related?

OMR! OMR! OMR! OMR! I’m sitting in class and trying so hard not to squeal! Arggggghhhhh!
I think this is a case of a story getting over-hyped, starting with Reuters (or before). If you look at http://www.bloomsbury-ir.co.uk/html/financial/f_latest.html you will see the Hogwart’s LibraryBox Set is one of 10 books on their “Strong trade list for 2012”, not one of two.
Also on that page they mention Pottermore and the key section on Harry Potter looking forward says
“We are celebrating the 15th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on June 26th 2012 with a large consumer competition to drive people into bookshops and libraries – giving us strong promotional activity for JK Rowling over the summer months. We are publishing illustrated editions of Harry Potter from 2013 and this year we will be publishing Hogwarts Library a three book box set.”
If the box set was as important to Bloomsbury as some people suggest they would surely have listed it first!
