As hard as WB is trying, I have a feeling award season is going to pass HP by. Yet again. :( But I can hope for the best!!!
Harry Potter is recognized for what they deserve, I would LOVE for them to win, but to quote David Yates, “Awards are nothing. The fans and telling a story we love is more important.” :D
I loved the videoes especially the music in the second one. and Lunaluver at least they got nominated for them which is adding to the long list of nominations and awads they’ve gotten throughout the years.
it would be amazing for them to get some recognition (which they rightfully deserve) but when it comes down to it…if people are still watching and reading them 50, maybe 100 years from now, what are a couple of golden globes/oscars going to matter?
for sure they deserve it, no doubt whatsoever in my mind…but down the line, i don’t think people are going to care insomuch as how many awards it got, but if the story still resonates with them. and something tells me it will. :D still, i hope for the best!
20 more days until the nominations..I’ll cry in both cases, nominated or not. Next to tech. categories, I really hope we get one for the score and for Alan!
I hope they win- they really deserve it.Even if they don’t- they still come first in my books! :)
Score and production design certainly deserve nominations. But an award must be given to Stuart Craig, 10 years of impeccable work. If anyone deserves to pick up an Oscar on Potter, it’s Stuart Craig
Where is Snape in these? WB is crazy to be putting so much emphasis on Ralph Fiennes. It’s Alan Rickman who deserves the acting Oscar.
hermy007, you are right, of course. It’s amusing to see what won the Oscars in the years when some of the most famous films of all time came out! But it would be nice for the cast and crew of DH2 to get some recognition from the film industry.
@WeenyOwl, Snape was in the first of the videos that came out (it will be on Leaky somewhere). Alan Rickman also features prominently (along with Ralph Fiennes, it should be said) in the booklet which Warner Bros sent out to film professionals (one of whom must have put theirs on eBay, and I’ve now got it – heheheh).
