Received my email this morning. I was only able to browse around for about ten min, then it became unavailable. Said to try again later. I’ve kept checking, unable to get back in so far.

I am a day 4 and received my e-mail this morning. HollySickle22. I am so sad. I was a good “girl” and dd my normal Saturday cleaning so I could play without guilt. Sat down with my lunch and clicked on Pottermore and it was down for and update. Bummer.

I’m so glad for all of you who got the mail in the last hours and so sorry you’re not able to log in… As I’ve been saying for a while now, I think PM is not ready for the huge number of users.
I hope that the actual suspension of the site is for improvements… otherwise, It will be very hard once all the 1mill beta users are authorized.

Halfblood Princess: I don’t think suspending the site would make any difference, because they will be developing the site on separate computers anyway. The beta period is about finding problems, working out how much load the site can take and whether they need to add more resources or do things to smooth the load, so that the site works when it goes live.

It’s down again. My day 4 friend got her mail this morning…no word on my day 3 friend as she hasn’t been on. But it looks like a lot of day 4’s are getting in now. I’d give a student count, but I can’t get in right now…sorry!!

@roonwit: I agree with what u say about the beta being a period to find problems. That’s why I previously said “I hope that the actual suspension of the site is for improvements…”, considering that the site was down at the time. In this order of ideas, I do think that suspending the site for short periods of time does hopefully make a difference because the site might be in better shape afterwards.

I got in once about 15 minutes ago but it is running slow and then I get the unavailable message again then I refresh and some times it lets me back in. I think I am going to wait until later tonight to try to get in again so I can enjoy it without the stops and starts. It looks really great and the art work is amazing.

@Snapeluvva – you have to progress through the story to get sorted. You go through each chapter of book 1. My advice, don’t rush through to get sorted. Jo has added wonderful information about characters, creatures, objects, and places that are both enjoyable and interesting to read. It’s like reading the first book for the first time again!

And I really hope the site is back up soon. I was in the middle of brewing a potion when it went down for me. I’m curious to see if that means I lost my ingredients or not. I hope my cauldron didn’t explode!

I’m Day 4 but still no owl (maybe because of Yahoo – hope), and I have to say I peeked a little on Youtube or whatever, bcs I think nothing can spoil my direct experience on PM. Also, I do have a favourite House, but I don’t think I’ll make it; I’d rather not be in another one; I sympathize with a third and have a suspicion that I’ll end up in a totally different one.
