J.K. Rowling Included Among Most Powerful in the Publishing Industry

Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling has been named among the top influences in the publishing industry, according to the Guardian's just released Book Power 100 List. Ms Rowling ranked second in the list of 100 people who have been named by the newspaper as "the most influential people of the moment." Amazon Co-Founder/CEO Jeff Bezos came in first place, while other notable people on the list include author James Patterson, Apple CEO Tim Cook, author Ian McEwan, Bloomsbury chief Nigel Newton, author Stephen Fry, and many others.

Well, of all the authors on the list, Jo is certainly the one who tops my list. I did get a chuckle our of number 100 – YOU, author, blogger, tweeter, etc. and the category is “other”. Very cute.
