MTV have released another clip from the upcoming Blu-Ray DVD of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" in which J.K. Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe talk about the Harry Potter generation in contrast with other phenomenon. The clip, which is region locked for everyone outside of the US, can be seen here on the MTV website or below.
Radcliffe says:
To a certain level, because [the characters in the books] exist in the collected consciousness of a generation, they do exist. I always think that's one of the wonderful things about Potter and the Potter fanbase. If you think about the other big costume-wearing and that kind of stuff that goes
with it, things like Star Wars and Star Trek, but with it's Potter, because
it started off as a literary thing, has created a generation of the
same kind of mentality of geeky thoroughness with an appetite for reading and literature,
which is kind of amazing.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's extremely accurate response is, "It was wonderful, wasn't it? It was just the most wonderful thing". The Blu-Ray will be released on the 11th November in the US.

Trying very hard to be calm, but first we have the news that the US gets the DVD almost a month before Britain, and now only people in the US can watch this clip. What’s with the discrimination WB & MTV!!

Yeah, I’m going to have to agree with Jo. British books, author, stars, sets…Not very cool.

Not very pleased that we have to wait for the DVD for so much longer in the UK and then to have this clip which we can’t watch, WB what are you thinking of? It’s British talent that is the creative heart of these films, I’m not amused at feeling left out like this.

Considering that the UK has gotten everything first for the past 10 years, I think its only fair we get the DVD a few weeks before you. You have everything else after all, the studio tour, and the actors themselves!
I’ve always wished I could be in the Harry Potter movies, and I cannot wait until the final box set arrives (hopefully it will be an extended version). I did however get a small dream come true through a modeling gig for a makeover blog site. Check out my Ginny Weasely day at http://heidihastings.wordpress.com/2010/11/21/so-you-wanna-look-like-ginny-weasley/ ENJOY!

I know U.K. Potterheads are upset about not getting the dvd before us, or being locked from clips, but that doesn’t mean American fans or Americans are undeserving or unappreciative. American fans don’t force companies to make the decisions they make. HP fans are supposed to be a family; yet some of the comments I’ve seen towards the U.S. are pretty disheartening.
first cool! the interview was cool!
