Parade is hosting a Harry Potter essay contest for long time fans of the series to voice which book they think they would most recommend to readers who are new to the Wizarding World:
In a short essay (300 words or less) tell us your favorite Harry Potter
book and why. We want to know which book inspired you the most. We'll feature our favorite essays on Parade.com.
Essays should be emailed to paradeonline@gmail.com. Remember to include your first name, your hometown, your favorite Harry Potter book and why, and why you're the ultimate Harry Potter fan.

Good idea! Can you enter if you’re in the UK?
My favourite book is Half-Blood Prince, the one that inspires me most is Deathly Hallows, and the one I’d suggest to first time readers would be Philosopher’s Stone. So, my essay would probably end up being longer than 300 words! :D

ya i agree, i would recommend book 1, but book 7 inspired me the most…
and its really hard for me to write short things, sooooo 300 words is gonna give me a VERY hard time, its toooo little!!!!!!!!! :D

I’ll def be writing an essay. My favorite is DH because we finally get to see what happens to, and with, everyone. But the book I’d suggest for others is SS, because without that you couldnt read the others.

I’d say DH because I found that inspiring I guess, I could say, i don’t know which one I’d reccomend because well i’d suggest the first one so you know what’s happening and aren’t totally lost.
my favorite book was the fifth one.
