Rupert Grint, definitely. He just seems like someone that would be your best friend! And he’s my favorite character in the series!
I would absolutely love to see Tom Felton. He does such a great job of portraying a character who so tries to be evil, but is really just misunderstood and even neglected in a way. Plus, he’s not bad on the eyes either ;)
I am most excited to see Emma Watson. She is a great actress and a very inspiring person. She is a role model to me as well. I admire the fact that although she has an acting career, and a great one too, she goes to Brown and studies. Not many actors and actresses find the need to continue their studies because they make a lot of money in the acting world and don’t need the extra help. It would be a dream come true if I could see Emma at the red carpet on July 11th. Thank you Leaky for having this chance for me. I hope I win!
I would really most love to meet Alan Rickman. He does an awesome job playing snape, seeming so sinister and evil. I cannot wait to see his part in DH2 when we find out his feelings for Lily. I know that will change most people’s opinions about him. It would be surreal to meet him!
Evanna Lynch, certainly. She is so eccentric and out there, but at the same time very personable and lovable. She was literally just a fan of the books who happened to get an amazing role in the movies! It’s truly an amazing story. And I looooove Luna.
Seeing Dan Radcliffe would simply be the coolest thing to ever happen to me. He’s the lead of the series, and he’s done such a great job holding all the movies together. He’s a fantastic actor, and just seems like a genuinely nice person.
I would love the chance to see Emma Watson! To see her in person would be a dream!
But what will never die is all that JKRowling has done for me in her writing. Harry Potter has been the best experience of my life (yes, I often refer to reading a book as an experience!) I come from a society whose values directly clash with the American values and coming to America when I was 11 years old was not easy, ten years later and it’s still hard. But being that 11 year old girl who couldn’t speak English, didn’t know how to dress and was never allowed to go out- that was painful. Harry Potter saved me, literally. I compared myself to Harry and I thought- if he got out, than I can get out, if he got friends- I can get friends, if he can be an amazing student- then so I can, if he can have people that love him- surely so will I. And so, with every book, every page, as Harry grew, so did I.
I learned that life is difficult, but it isn’t impossible. I learned that often we loose the people we love. I learned that life goes on. I learned that there is indeed a chance for happiness, for love, for joy. Each character, good and bad, captivated me in ways I cannot explain and each character, in his or her own way helped me get through the constant struggle of being an American while still trying to hold on to my old values.
If I got this chance, I would like to meet JKRowling, and from the cast I would love to meet Dan, I KNOW that he has had to give up so much to make this possible for me. And I want to thank him for that.
I would really like to meet Rupert Grint. Its my dream to meet him. He does an amazing job at playing Ron. He is a fabulous actor and meeting him would make me ecstatic. I love how well he plays Ron. Hes alo a very kind person and it would be great if I could meet him at the red carpet. Thank you leaky for this chance at being able to attend.
If I win the tickets to the premiere I will be most happy to meet Michael Gambon. Although he wasn’t the original Albus Dumbledore he came in the third movie and he’s just as great an actor as Richard Harris (original Dumbledore). He started out small and is now a main actor in the world wide phenomenon Harry Potter series. It would be amazing to meet him.
Robert pattinson bc he is so darn cute!!!
I would love to meet Dame Maggie Smith because I like er discipline and how she said “take Weasley with you he looks far too happy”
I want to meet Matthew Lewis because he seems so nice and
“Which Harry Potter actor are you most excited to see on the red carpet and why?”
Jason Issacs—He steals every scene he’s in. He brings a hidden vulnerability and evokes feelings of empathy towards Lucius Malfoy when the character had few redeeming qualities in the books. With 5 little words, and a now classic sneer in Chamber of Secrets…“why don’t you prove it?!” I was mesmerized by him. It still one of my favorite lines all these years, books, and movies later. What an absolute treat it would be to see him on the red carpet in NYC.
I am most excited to see Alan Rickman because he convincingly portrayed Snape’s inner turmoil throughout the movies, and it would be nice to see him without the black wig.
