I would probably switch lives with Hermione just because I love the fact that she is so intelligent! I would love to have her ability to read for hours on end and absorb all the knowledge possible. I also love her friendship with Harry and how her relationship with Ron came about. It’s exactly how I want to fall in love, with my best friend.
I would swap lives with definitely Luna Lovegood. She is just brilliant! Not afraid to express herself, and live her life! She is greatly unique, and does not listen to the opinions of others, which is what I do myself in my own life. She is just fantastic at being herself no matter what. Not to mention, her curiosity and sense of creativity would be a joy to experience. I love all of her creative pieces aswell! From her butterbeer cork necklace, to her Spectrespecs, to her dirigible plum earrings! Also, to be the daughter of Xenophilius, the editor of the Quibbler would be a thrill! His quirky, weird self is great and I’m sure a fun time to have as a father. I myself did not grow up with a not so well father, so he seems rather perfect! Especially with the care and love he shows towards his daughter to be willing to turn in Harry, Ron, and Hermione to Death Eaters. Being in Ravenclaw is another advantage, seeing it is my destined house! I would just LOVE to experience that! And her sum of friends, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville.. Who wouldn’t want them? I just simply adore Luna and would be VERY comfortable to switch lives!
I would most likely swap lives with Hermione. She reminds me of myself in many ways. Grades are very important, as are rules. She is a very loyal friend, and very hardworking. Without her, Ron and Harry would not have survived. Yes, she may be a bossy know-it-all at times, but I believe that her good qualities override her bad ones. She may not have it easy, with being teased for being Muggleborn, but the way she handles it is simply fantastic. She never gives up on anything. This is why I would like to switch lives with Hermione.
The arc of Neville’s story is one of my favorites in the entire saga.
How his parents battled Voledmort and how he lost them to madness and the love he shows them. How his grandmother raised him, how she was clearly critical of him, but also loved and supported him.
And how he grows from an insecure bumbler into a true leader of the rebellion. He will never stop fighting the dark side.
It is sweet to find him at the end as a teacher at Hogwarts! Imagine that being your life work after all the tragedy, growth, friendship and love that came before!!
Imagine living at Hogwarts! Yes, Neville!
PS. I also considered Luna. She is such an open, truthful, loving spirit.
If I could pick someone to swap with it would be Neville. Hes not my favortie character but he is a great character. In the earlier books he was a clumisy kid who couldnt do anything right. But in the order of the phoniex he shows his bravery and his true friendship. I would want to be Neville because he is a great friend and one of the bravest characters.
I would swap lives with Hagrid. He not only teaches, which is something I adore doing, but he also is like a quasi-father figure to Harry. Despite those who are prejudiced against him, he is loved by most everyone at Hogwarts, that it something I love about him. He doesn’t have any enemies.
I think I would swap lives with Luna. She’s had some tragic events in her life, and she’s teased by her classmates, yet she still stays true to herself and keeps a positive attitude. She’s also a very good friend, and seems very caring.
I think my comment/choice isn’t actually quite the right answer to the question…I read it as which character would you like to BE for some reason. Didn’t realize it until I’d hit submit. Oops :P
Severus Snape. He’s strong, dedicated, and— above all— a man of mystery. Though much of his young life was filled with pain and suffering, he became the one and ultimate deceiver. Who else could have masked his true intentions to the most powerful wizard of all time? And to be best friends with Dumbledore, to know so perfectly the routes of good and evil… well I think Severus had the best of both worlds and used his experiences in the most altruistic way.
I would probably switch lives with Fred Weasley if I had the choice. Of course, it would be extremely fun to have a twin like George, and it seems that the two have a connection like none other in the series. They are always loyal to each other and they truly care about each other, and they know each other right down to the bone. I think it would be absolutely wonderful to have a relationship like that. Also, they accomplish so much together, from their Skyving Snackboxes to their famous prank of the Portable Swamp. Whatever they do, they always put a dash of fun into it. They opened Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and it was a huge success. Of course, there is also the bonus of having grown up in the Weasley family. The Weasleys are extremely caring, even if they aren’t the wealthiest of families, and they are loyal and brave. Additionally, playing Beater on the Gryffindor Quidditch team must be wonderfully fun. Heck, even being able to grow up in the Wizarding World and attend Hogwarts in the first place would be fantastic! But Fred and George really do make the very best of their time there. So why Fred over George? Partially because George loses an ear, but it’s mostly because Fred dies a hero. He dies laughing, joking, but he dies fighting against the Death Eaters, and that is a truly noble way to go. I wouldn’t want to be George because I don’t know if I’d be able to stay sane if I’d lost someone so close to me. So yes, I’d definitely want to swap places with Fred Weasley.
I would switch lives with Lily Evans. Before the disastrous decision to leave Snape in the dust for James. I would have changed history and marry dear Severus. Plus how cool would it have been to be able to see a true smile slide across his face?
Although if I had to switch and not change history, I would pick McGonagall. I would not mind having Dumbledore as my gbf. He had great fashion sense!
Molly Weasley would be my choice because she is an excellent wife and mother. She is strong and independent as well as being caring and open-hearted. Plus, I could really use her cooking skills!
I would swap lives with Hermione. Switching with Hermione would mean being able to both be connected to the Muggle world and the wizarding world. She is brave, intelligent, loyal, and she winds up with Ron ;) I feel the closest to Hermione because I imagine that she is constantly amazed by things in the wizarding world and always wants to know more about it just like Harry Potter fans.
I would swap lives with Hermione, so I good ‘get it on’ with a certain Ronald Weasley ;)
I would swap lives with Fred and George Weasley! Being able to make people laugh, to make people happier, to make them smile, is just one of the greatest feelings in the world. To be able to have their sense of humor would be great! Never having to take anything seriously, and always being able to find the humor in even the most serious situations. Even though money may not come in a great abundance to them, I think the Weasley twins have a fantastic life and a great sense of humor. Besides their sense of humor, they are both incredibly handsome, and can put on a bloody well fight! The two of them never worried, or gave a single thought about being poor, for they always had high spirits to keep them alive during hard times.
