A new deleted scene set to be included among the bonus features of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" BluRay DVD set has been released online and shows a very tender and touching scene between Harry (Dan Radcliffe) and Aunt Petunia (Fiona Shaw). The clip, which runs approximately one minute long, takes place at the now empty Privet Drive home of the Dursleys before they must flee from Death Eaters. I did a full rant on what in the world screenwriters are thinking when they make these decisions. They seem to think we are obsessed with perfect translations, when we love the additional or adapted for screen stuff as long as it is consistent with the characters and story. At least that is what my 40 years of fandom leads me to believe. Thoughts?

It’s really sweet! I wish they did put it in because it does show a different side of Aunt Petunia that I admire! :D The one thing bad about this movie, they cut out the sweet moment of the departure of Harry and the Dursleys, after all they’ve been through too! D;
I luv hp so much!!
