It does seem a little strange to use a birthday message to attack a person. All the arguments about the deviations of the films from the books have been thoroughly well aired elsewhere, and no doubt will be again. But this isn’t the place.

I think Steve did as good a job as could be done within the constraints of film and apparently Jo thought so too or he wouldn’t have done just about all of them – let’s face it, the movies are never as good as the books – it’s a different medium – between Steve and the producers I think it has been a job well done! And Happy Birthday Steve!!
