Emma Watson Confirmed for New Role in "Perks of Being a Wallflower"

Actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) announced on her Twitter and Facebook accounts that the rumors are true: she has been cast in the upcoming "Perks of Being a Wallflower" alongside Logan Lerman ("Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief").

Ms. Watson revealed filming will begin this summer and she will be taking on the role of Sam, the main character Charlie's first love (portrayed by Lerman).

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is based off the novel by Stephen Chbosky. Chbosky has also written the screenplay and will direct.

SHE’S going to be Sam? Really? :-/ I kinda can’t picture her as Sam… I loved the book, it’s one of my absolute favorites; she just doesn’t seem like Sam to me… Although she’s going to be brilliant in the role, of course, like always. So I’ll probably change my mind once I see it. ;-)

I really enjoyed reading this book and it became one of my favorites. can’t wait to watch it! it’s amazing both emma and logan are in it.

HalfBloodPrincess (Jenna Evans) No she still said she wanted to continue acting but that her education was her number 1 priority. But all these guys need to pick up things now while the heat from HP is still at fever pitch… ergo… Rupert will you DO something man!
