Choosing my favorite Harry Potter movie, much like choosing my favorite Harry Potter book, is no easy task. I love them all for different reasons! However, if forced to pick just one, I’ll go with Deathly Hallows Part 2 as my favorite film.

DHP2 represents the end of an era. I began reading the Harry Potter books when I was 7, and the first film came out when I was 11. Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out 10 days before my 21st birthday. The amazing thing about this series is that I love it just as much now, if not more so, than I did when I was 7.

Harry Potter means everything to me. There have been moments of pure magic and awe, like when Hagrid said, “Yer a wizard, Harry,” and moments of pure heartbreak, like when Snape said, “Always.” Throughout the series, I’ve witnessed friendships formed, adventures taken, loved ones lost, and relationships begin and end. I’ve been there through the laughter and the tears. I can never thank Jo Rowling enough for creating a world that is so rich and full of detail that the characters feel like old friends and the places feel like home.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 is my favorite because it has all of the things I love about the series in one film. We see love, laughter, and unfortunately, plenty of heartbreak. However, with this film, there is also hope. Hope for a new beginning, of which the epilogue was a perfect representation.

Mainly, DHP2 is my favorite film because it represents the end. Though, I know it’s not really the end, because as Jo said, “Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.” I can just read/watch the books over again!

PS. Sorry this is so long!

All the Harry Potter Movies have been so important and I love them all so much. Its hard to pick one. However, if I had to pick one it definitely would be Goblet of Fire. THe reason for that is because of all the magical tasks in the triwizard tournament and the quidditch world cup. It definitely broadened the mind of all the readers/watchers of Harry Potter, because it showed their was more to the wizarding community than just Hogwarts and Britain. Also, that was the movie where everything changed (since Voldemort came back) The characters had all developed throughout the end, and without the outcome of Goblet of Fire the rest of the series would be a lot different.

I really loved Deathly Hallows Part 2 because it was the culmination of the whole series and summed everything up beautifully. It was also the only Potter film (although I adored all of them) that made me cry. Both Snape’s memories and Ron seeing Fred lying in the Great Hall had me crying like a schoolgirl. The emotions were so on target for me. It was beautiful all-around.

My favorite film is Prisoner of Azkaban. The shift in tone from the first 2 movies was done perfectly with touches of darkness and quirkiness from Cuaron. I also really enjoyed how they worked in the small hints during the Time-Turner scene.

I think my favorite film is the first one, Sorcerer’s Stone. It was the one that set the tone and established the cast as the characters from the book. It was the beginning of the magical journey on film and let fans know that the books could be adapted faithfully to the big screen. I still feel that this film along with Chamber of Secrets were the most true to the books and I appreciate that.

My favorite Harry Potter movie would have to be the Goblet Of Fire. The reason is because of the Triwizard Tournament. I loved all the tasks that the champions had to do. It was such a good movie. There was a lot of newer characters in the movie that I thought was great. I loved Victor Krum and Cedric Diggary. I was sad at the end though when Cedric died.

My favorite Harry Potter film would have to be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. It was my first Harry Potter film that I was able to see at a midnight showing; this movie was absolutely spectacular. It had everything from tying up the loose ends about Snape’s true alliance to finally seeing Hermione and Ron kiss. This film also showed Voldemort finally being obliterated; who didn’t love that? It was the only film that actually made me cry at the end. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was a true masterpiece of epic proportions. It completed my childhood!

I liked the Chamber of Secrets. I hadn’t read the books at the time so I was thinking at the end that when Harry asks Dumbledor why he and Tom Riddle seemed alike. Instead of the easy answer where Dumbledor says that Voldemort transfered some of his power to harry I was thinking that the two of them were related through family members.

My favorite film is the Sorcerer’s Stone. I’ll never forget seeing all of the things/places I’d visualized while reading actually coming to life.

My Favorite Harry Potter film is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. This is true because you see deeper into some characters that you couldn’t see into in the previous ones. You see the fear Malfoy is dealing with over his inability to fulfill his orders from Voldemort. Ron and Hermione have their first “real” relationship type fight. and Harry starts to really realize his love for Ginny. Its just an all around really good book, and an all around Great movie!

“prisoner of azkaban because its where the journey unfolds. you learn the truth about siriu black and petter pettigrew you also see how snape kept his promise. to protect harry, and he did when lupin in his werewolf form was attacking. you learn how lupin is a werewolf and about the marurders and i think that this is extremly crucial to the polt but i also like how the actors portray their characters its like when you see snape you dont think alan rickman you just think severus snape and the same for sirius, and lupin”

Goblet of Fire. I love the athletic aspect of it, and it was the first time I really felt that any of the lead characters might be in peril.

Also, I think it’s great for people who dislike the Twilight series. They can pretend that Voldemort kills Edward. Heh.
