Andrew Slack, creator of the Harry Potter Alliance, recently gave a TEDx
talk in Rome. The TED company holds conferences about “ideas worth
spreading.” Of the TEDx talk he gave, Andrew Slack had to say:

At the end of September I had the privilege to give a TEDx Talk in Rome

I talked before a room of over 80 broadcasters throughout Europe about
the Harry Potter Alliance, cultural dreamwork, cultural acupuncture, and
the power of stories to transform our world.

I discussed where the HPA has been and implied where we are going with Imagine Better.

If
nothing else, I hope this 13 minute talk can be something that you find
helpful in showing your friends, family, teachers, and coworkers why
loving Harry Potter is not crazy, why being in a fan community is
amazing, and why you are a member of the Harry Potter Alliance.

We
stand at an important precipice right now as an organization and as a
fandom in demonstrating what we have done and what we will do in proving
that “it’s time for the good guys to use the power of story.”

Thank you for everything you do for the HPA and our world, and I hope to see you at the Quidditch World Cup!
