Harry Potter Wrap Party Held at Leavesden Studios Yesterday
August 07, 2010, 07:59 PM
The Daily Mail is reporting that a Harry Potter wrap party was held yesterday to mark the end of filming the series. Many of the actors, such as Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Jim Broadbent (Professor Slughorn), and David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) were there, as well as J. K. Rowling. The wrap party was held at the Leavesden Film Studios where all eight Harry Potter movies were filmed, and had carnival rides for the guests to enjoy. You can read more about it here.
Fair thee well, filming.
cnt beleive the harry potter saga is ending,,,,,btw why did they not mention emma?? Why wasnt she there at the party??
Rupert in particular looks like he was crying big time – check out those dark circles under his eyes!
Wow that must of been really sad party!
@ kmac23va…Why should Emma not cut her hair if she wants,,,she is
an ‘actress portraying a character’…she isn’t Hermonie… and it ‘does’ look
like Emma …she looks great with it short.
Let go!!!! ….these people are not the charcters they portray.. Emma,Dan and
Rupert have the right to do what they like with thier hair…Potter fans do not own them.
So glad they all got the chance to say ‘good-buy’ to each other. It’s been
amazing to see what all thier hard work produced thru the years …the cast,,crew,,and all involved should be very proud of what they accalmplished!
Bravo! to all of them!!!
Am looking forward to the thier two films!
and to what the future brings to all actors involved…may it be wondeful!!
im glad that they got to celebrate and have a party for it but its kinda sad since it makes it really official and that the phenomenon of harry potter is really over. but unlike some other series i think harry potter will be a lasting phenomenon and will will live on for years as long as people keep the spirit of harry potter alive even though the book and movies are finished. Its going to be sad when it all ends next summer, but this is an incredible series that NOTHING COULD EVER TOP! i love u harry potter, its been a great ride and i still dont think that i’ll ever accept it as over!!!!:) I loooovvveee harrrryy pottert!!!!!
@hermy, Emma WAS at the party, the press photographers must not have recognised her, they were camped out opposite the main gate pointing their cameras at all the cars as they went in and out. It was not a sad occasion it was a happy and thoroughly enjoyable one:D
SNIFFS I don’t think the actors realize how lucky and fortunate they are to be Harry Potter movies. I mean sure, they understand, but not like a hardcore fan like you or me.
That is a lovely way to end an amazing decade! Its over :(
I sincerely hope that all the actors who were at the wrap up party had a great time, despite the weather and the end of shooting the movies. I hope that some of them have made friends that will last a lifetime due to working together on the films so long. It is great that JKR was there too!
Awesome awesome awesome but so SAD!!!
I didn’t see JKR, and I didn’t hear anyone at the event mention she was there, I only missed the first 45 mins of the party and stayed to the end, so I’m wondering if this is a newspaper presuming Jo was involved when actually the party was courtesy of Alan Horn and Warner Bros. All the reports (which are based on that in the Daily Mail) say Emma wasn’t there, which is totally wrong so I’m taking it that the bit mentioning Jo is probably not accurate either.
i dont want it too end!! :(
i cant beleive its over …. it just dosent seem right. i have grown up with hp i mean it never occured to me that it would end. as for emma’s hair cut i love it. it is something new that she has wanted to do for a while it seems.i rember what it was like when i cut my hair really short. lol it was fun. any way i glad that the group got togther they look like they had fun.
The Daily Mail never fails. This story is essentially paparazzi pics and not much else. The “reporter” was obviously not at the party. Why does anyone rely on that rag for news reporting??
