The ‘Life & Lies’ book reminds of the book ‘Wicked’. And it’s weird how there are similarities between both stories. Wonder if they did that on purpose…

from what I’ve read, hedwig does die, though it varies slightly from the book. She is flying beside harry and saves his life dying a hero rather than as a piece of luggage. as for the blood on hermione’s hand, it was only removed for the trailer, it was never meant to be a permanent change. the mpaa(motion picture association of america) has strict guidelines on what studios can show in a trailer that is “approved for all audiences.” so there you go, hope i’ve relieved a few of you. :]

according to other sites, Harry releases Hedwig before the 7 potters sequence, but there is rumor that she comes back to “save” him during the death eater attack and then gets killed

it is more fitting that hedwig perishes free instead of cramped in his cage.
i am still blown to bits at how good this franchise has been at casting the characters. looking forward to rhys’ lovegood.

Lets take a moment to realize something here. Hedwig is a female! A “SHE”!

I bought this magazine, because I am becoming more nostalgic about the last 2 films arriving and trying to eat up every bit of previews for DH :-)

I’m ok with giving Hedwig a better death. (I hope they do the same for others, like Moody, in the movie, too, to be honest.) I’d even be ok if they let her live. Not just because it’s sad – but because it’s so stupid.
I always wondered why Harry had to lock Hedwig up for the journey to Hogwarts, let alone when he’s going on the run. I mean, you’re talking about an intelligent bird that you can basically tell to go anywhere, including telling her to be sneaky about. Why couldn’t you just say “Hey, Hedwig, meet me at Hogwarts” for the start of the school years, or, in the case of getting away, “Go to the Burrow” or something? It never made any sense, so I’ll be glad if they change that up a bit.

darkk_rose is totally right!!! i mean yeah sure its dramaticly to let his only living beast who loves him die but it was a bit over the edge.
