There are now only 96 days left until "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" hits theaters! We are posting a quote from the first half of the book every day in celebration and to give us a chance to discuss and ponder the final book as it goes to film. Here's today's quote!
"Oh yes," says Skeeter, nodding briskly, "I devote an entire chapter to the whole Potter-Dumbledore relationship. It's been called unhealthy, even sinister. Again, your readers will have to buy my book for the whole story, but there is no question that Dumbledore took an unnatural interest in Potter from the word go. Whether that was really in the boy's best interest --- well, we'll see. It's certainly an open secret that Potter has had a most troubled adolescence."

In relation to the quote what do you make of the Harry/Dumbledore relationship? Dumbledore obviously had an inkling Harry was a horcrux from at least CoS when discussing the fact Harry could talk to snakes as Voldy had transferred some of his powers to Harry when he was a baby. Do you think he was manipulating Harry all along? Or do you think he wanted to just keep an eye on him, saw that he could possibly hold the key to defeating Voldy and then try to give him the tools to succeed like Harry said he had done in PS in showing him the Mirror of Erised? Or do you think he was trying to manipulate him but then began to love him like a son and tried to protect him whilst still hoping he could save the wizarding world? It would be nice to hear your thoughts on this.

I love the cover of that book, and would probably die of happiness if they released it for us to buy, especially if the cover was holographic so that Dumbledore actually moved.

The book is just as tacky as Rita. LOL
However, that specific quote made me go O_O
I think its her mind that’s sinister.
Rita, you have no scruples, woman!
