July 02, 2010, 06:53 PM
Warner Bros. have sent over the first official one sheet teaser poster for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" Part 1 and Part 2 and you can check it out right here in our galleries.
The poster shows a burning Hogwarts castle from across the lake with flames and smoke rising from its towers. The tagline is set against a dark sky and reads: "It all ends here." Part 1 of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be released on the 19th of November 2010, with the final installment to follow in mid-July 2011.
Many thanks to WB!
that’s. awesome. beautiful.
For ONCE! A tagline that isn’t cheesy or lame but actually evocative. Good paster, though, from the looks of it, they went overboard with the Hogwarts damage. How will students ever go back there? It’s all burned up!
WOW! What a poster! They went all out on this… especially to be the first one released. It’s really cool looking but gosh it makes me sad to see Hogwarts all in flame. :(
I absolutely love this poster; the picture is stunning. My only complaint is that I wish it would say Deathly Hallows on it instead of just HP7. But overall it definitely gives me chills!
That is absolutely amazing. It’s so chiling! That very picture of Hogwarts was the first picture we saw when they rode the boats across the lake in the first movie. That’s the moment when everything began. The poster couldn’t be more fitting. It really does all end there.
Oh my gosh….Hogwarts on fire….It’s so horrible!!!
The poster’s great though!
Thats look really great, the best HP poster i think!
Hogwarts destroyed? It’s a good thing I know the ending.
Is it weird that i like the fan-made from ages ago with the stag more?
Its true! Hogwarts doesnt look realistic, its too small for the poster
Too dramatic, THe FInale
I think it could be much better!
That extremely, terribly fake reflection on the bottom really just ruins the whole thing for me. You’d think that they would have better artists make their posters; like ones that can make proper water reflections.
Oh, and @Roonil Wazlib, that tagline definitely is cheesy and lame; all taglines are — it’s in the definition.
I think it’s brilliant, and the colors are beautiful and eye catching. As well, showing a flaming Hogwarts is the best way to get people’s attention—no one wants to see the prized building in flames. :( It’s a fantastic poster and will definitely attract a lot of attention.
