The Daily Mail has a report online which notes that actor Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is currently undergoing daily singing lessons and frequent dance lessons in preparation for his upcoming role in the remake of the 1960s musical "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying." The show's director, Rob Ashford, comments that:
"[Dan's] singing every day with a vocal coach in London and I've got my assistant putting him through his dance paces every other day. I'm covering all bases with Daniel - and he's delivering."
The article goes on to note:
Rose Hemingway, who has been cast opposite Daniel as his stage girlfriend Rosemary Pilkington, told me she did her audition with Daniel.
'He's been doing a lot of work and he's going to surprise people. He's not afraid to learn how to do things,' the 26-year-old actress from Philadelphia said.
Rehearsals for "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" are set to begin in February.

No offence to any of you but your comments are quite childish and close minded, so because you have never heard him singing or seen him dancing you think it’s weird or fun? For what people who have actually seen him and heard him say he is pretty good, so you shouldn’t prejudge so easily.
I remember people writting these same type of comments when it was announced Dan was going to do Equus, people doubted he could to theatre… and he proved everyone wrong, now he is a Drama Desk nominated actor, which can be said of very few actors.
It’s admirable he studies and prepares himself so hard, and at the same time he is filming two movies no less. Btw, his singing teacher is one of the best, is the same Alan Rickman studied with.
“FilmGirl27 (ROAR!!)”, that performance was a parody they did for a charity event, Dan was sick that day as you can see in the interviews he did, but still they became in the second place, defeating even all the musicals except The Lion King.
@ethanHP…..thanks for putting all the negative attitudes about Dan singing
and dancing into the proper perspective.
The HP dancing and singing took place for GOF . …it’s now 2010 and Dan’s not that kid anymore.
But then for those of you who keep thinking we’re still in that time period and want to maintain the negative attitude ….you may be in for a awakening
come next year.
hes singing?? thts kinda odd
