As a follow up to our post about the Ellen DeGeneres Show taping from Universal Studios Orlando and broadcasting a 'sneak peek' at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, the talk show's website has put out a call for those knowledgeable in everything Harry Potter. In the "Be Part of the Show' section, the following call has been issued:
Do you have a precocious child who knows everything there is to know about Harry Potter books and movies? Is talking about Harry Potter his or her favorite subject? If so, we want to hear about them! Click here to tell us about your little wizard.
A following prompt asks for a 1500 character (maximum) story about the young Harry Potter fan, as well as a photo of the entrant. If the fan is under the age of 18, the form must be filled out by a parent or guardian on the young fan's behalf.

Many thanks, Tracy!

Does anyone else find this “call” a little confusing and lacking in information? It say “precious little child”, but then it talks about IF you are under 18 years old that your parent/guardian must fill out the form with their information, not the minor’s. It says nothing about an age limit. It also does not tell you what will be happening with the info you send them. Is Ellen just put it up on her website or is she going to show the pic and tell their “story” on the show? Is she going to call one of them during the show or will a one lucky person be invited on the show? I am tempted to send my info in (even though I am in my 20’s), but I am a little worried about doing so since I don’t what will happen?

It would be funny if I made it on the show. “On todays show, a 25 year old police officer and father from Philadelphia, who is an avid Harry Potter nerd.” Man, I would never hear the end of it at work!
Hmmm, does a 25 year old count as a “precious little child”?
