The Harry Potter Movies on ABC’s Family channel do not cut anything out, they are actually the extended versions with scenes I have never seen before. I was very excited to watch them all weekend, and tape the ones I missed.

Didn’t get to see the first one at all since I was in the traveling mode from conference. Did get to see the rest of them and they were great. Love watching the movies with everything in them (the extra deleted scenes). Miss Molly is right..the same footage from the DVD, nothing new but still exciting.

Did anyone notice what the extra scenes for OotP were? I watched and I don’t think I noticed anything.
I had already seen the cut scenes re-integrated into the first three films on ABC Family, but this weekend was the first time I saw the cut scenes put back into Goblet of Fire (like the scene where Harry goes out into the snowy courtyard during the Yule Ball to get some air and runs into a bunch of kids making out, and then sees Snape having a heated conversation with Karkaroff). This was also the first time they showed the Extended version of Order of the Phoenix…it didn’t include a whole lot, but there were a few added or extended scenes…for instance, they showed a much longer tirade by Umbridge when she is tricked into going into the Forest, and she gets so riled up during her temper tantrum that she actually seems on the verge of killing Harry and Hermione. There was also a scene I don’t remember being in the original version, where Draco and his cronies attack some kids with snowballs (and Luna watches from a hiding spot), and Umbridge witnesses this from up in one of the towers and smiles (perhaps recognizing that these bullies would make excellent informants and watchdogs for her), then they showed the scene from the original movie where Umbridge gives them their badges and makes them part of the Inquisitorial Squad. There also a moment before Dumbledore gives Harry his “I care too much” speech at the end, where Harry walks into Dumbledore’s office and thinks it’s empty, and ends up glancing up at the Sorting Hat with a sad expression on his face, and before he leaves Dumbledore peeks around the corner and asks him to stay for a bit. There was also a scene after Harry gets tortured by Umbridge’s quill for the first time, where the camera pans all around the Gryffindor common room, and you see Seamus playing cards with some other kids, some kids making out, and Neville tending to his Mimbletonia plant, before the camera settles on a depressed Harry, who looks so out of place in the midst of all the fun and happiness. There was also like a four second addition when Neville remarks after Seamus and Harry’s spat near the beginning that his grandmother has canceled their subscription to the Daily Prophet. And finally there was a sad little scene near the end when Harry is packing, and Ron comes in to tell him to come down for the end-of-year feast, and Harry tells Ron to go on without him, still horribly saddened by Sirius’ death.

Yeah, I saw all that too. MOST of the dialouge was directly from the books, but some of it wasn’t exactly right. I wish they could just put the deleted scenes into the movie that hits the theaters.
Oh, they also showed the Hoggy-Hoggy-Hogwarts song being sung in Goblet of Fire, and an extra scene in Goblet of Fire after Crouch Seniors’ body is found, where Harry, Ron, and Hermione sit in front of the common room fire, and discuss the fact that the Ministry will have a hard time covering up his Crouch’s death, especially because it happened on the Hogwarts grounds.

i totally watched the harry potter marathon on abc family! i loved it.
unfortunately i missed the DH footage, and since the special edition HBP dvd was sold out when i went to buy it, i still haven’t seen it :(
anybody know where i can find the footage?
One link where you can watch the footage is at http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/harry-potter-and-deathly-hallows-part-i/featurette-first-look
They have a few short quotes from David Yates and David Heyman, and the short teaser trailer follows directly after.

Oh I missed Philosopher’s Stone, but hopefully I’ll be able to watch Chamber of Secrets this Saturday (complete with 5 min commercial breaks every 20 mins & trailers for Dancing on Ice/Ant and Dec’s ‘whichever programme they’re hosting for ITV1 now’ etc.). I find it different watching the films on TV rather than on the DVD.
