The Harry Potter cast have been keeping busy over the last week. Firstly, Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) graces the cover of the December issue of British Vogue with the caption "Emma Watson comes of age"; we now have high resolution images of the cover, cover photo without the text and an additional photo from the Vogue photoshoot right here in our galleries. Thanks to for the images! Watson also appears on the cover of Kino Park, the November issue of Cleo and the cover of Atrevida and you can see those photos here in the Leaky Galleries!

Miriam Margoyles (Pomona Sprout) appeared on BBC programme "The Andrew Marr Show" on Sunday. The actress spoke about wanting to show her serious side as well as her trip to the West Bank where she saw many Palestinian refugees. UK residents can watch the episode at this link on the BBC iPlayer -- Margoyles' appears at around 32 minutes in. Thanks to nellythemarrow for emailing in!

The BBC is reporting today that "The King's Speech" is leading the nominations for the 13th British Independent Film Awards. The film, about King George VI (Colin Firth), stars Harry Potter actors Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) as Queen Elizabeth, Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) as King George V and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew) as Winston Churchill. "The King's Speech" premiered at the 54th BFI London Film Festival - find photos here in the Leaky Galleries - and will be released in the UK on the 7th of January 2011. "Deathly Hallows: Part 1" composer Alexandre Desplat also scored the film.

Following the premiere, Helena Bonham Carter and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) attended "The King's Speech" afterparty - images from the event can be seen at this link. Bonham Carter has been busy promoting the film and attended press conferences in both the UK and US (photos here and here), a photocall and appeared in a number of portraits. In related news, Bonham Carter last week collected the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award for her role in "The King's Speech" at the 14th annual Hollywood Awards Gala in the The Beverly Hilton Hotel, California. Images of the actress at the gala can be found here.

I love the Emma-jumping-on-the-bed shot! With the Beatles poster in the background and her cute short haircut à la Twiggy, she looks very Carnaby Street circa 1965 – and like she’s genuinely having fun.

I’m going to try and get my hands on that issue of British Vogue, I’d love to read the article. But even reading the phrase “Life after Harry Potter” makes me sad :-(

Actually, I was wondering when British Vogue would put Emma on the cover … well done, Miss Watson, you really deserve it and you look fantastic.
