The Motion Picture Association of America has given "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" a PG-13 rating for "some sequences of intense action violence and frightening images." It is the third Harry Potter film, after "Goblet of Fire" and "Order of the Phoenix" to have a PG-13 rating.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" will be released on November 19th. Thanks very much to Brent for the tip!
Yes, Hermione just can’t be tortured at a PG. It’s good that it’s rated here, assuming it’s properly-earned and accurate.

Yay!
When i saw HBP people actually laughed when Ron was poisioned! I remember turning round in my seat thinking ’what’s happened, has someone walked in wearing a clown costume?’ I just couldn’t believe they laughed at that bit! Which is why i’m so excited to go to the midnight showing, i have a feeling all the people there will know the books as well as i do and won’t be laughing at the wrong places.

thank god. it was such a relief to read in the set reports, i think it was david barron, talk about how they knew it would be PG-13 all the way, the filmmakers and warner brothers, so that’s awesome because honestly, HBP could have been more violent and it felt like they pulled it back for the PG, which is such a dangerous game cause sometimes you pull it back and you kill it. should be awesome!

Yay! I like this rating, means I can see it without annoying 5 year old’s in the seat in front of me yelling “Is she [katie bell] dead yet?” “What’s happening?” “WHY IS IT SNOWING?!?!”(at the Hogsmeade bit).

AWESOME!!!! This did not supprise me a bit!!! I expected PG-13, Of course to me it would not matter even if it was R rated and even if the sky fell it would not stop me from going to see it!!!! lol!!!!
First one to comment, and I’m super excited about this because the Half-Blood Prince was slightly disappointing with a PG-rating!!!
