Leaky's Daily Quotedown to Deathly Hallows: 37 Days
October 14, 2010, 03:48 AM
There are now only 37 days left until "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" hits theaters! We are posting a quote from the first half of the book every day in celebration and to give us a chance to discuss and ponder the final book as it goes to film. Here is today's quote!
On this spot, on the night of 31 October 1981,Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Lily and James Potter lost their lives.
Their son, Harry, remains the only wizard
ever to have survived the Killing Curse.
This house, invisible to Muggles, has been left
in its ruined state as a monument to the Potters
and as a reminder of the violence
that tore apart their family.

How can it be 37 days left when by my count, 31 minus 14 days leaves 17 days in October plus release on the 17th of November, equals 34 days until release! Even the countdown atop the website says 35 days!! What’s up, Leaky??
I agree with StoreyAnn, too. Imagine growing up in the world according to The Dursley’s, not even knowing that there was another whole world waiting for you to “come home”. I think that this scene should be in the movie, too. More than anything, seeing the tangible remains of his life with his parents had to be huge for Harry.
I absolutely love this part in the novel. It’s so eerie and sad. You’re lamenting and reflecting with Harry, yet you’re always on your toes because you’re waiting for Voldemort, or something horrific, to jump out. And it does.
I was very emotional when i read that quote… @Storeyann (ROAR) exactly the way i feel .. :)
is it 35 days or 37? im confused, the countdown and this post say different. :\
