“Half-Blood Prince” Nominated for Art Directors Guild Award

The LA Times reports today that “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” has been nominated for an Excellence in Production Design Award by the Art Directors Guild of America. Harry Potter production designer Stuart Craig, who has previously won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Directors Guild, is nominated in the fantasy film category. The other production designers nominated in this category are Philip Ivey for his work on “District 9,” Rick Carter and Robert Stromberg for “Avatar,” K.K. Barrett for “Where the Wild Things Are,” and Scott Chambliss for “Star Trek.”

The winners will be announced on the 13th of February at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. More information and a full list of the nominees can be found on the Art Directors Guild website.
