In the cold days of January, the winter blues can so easily sneak up on a person.  Fortunately, tonight at 8:30pm EST, the Harry Potter Alliance is hosting a special episode of PotterWatch on LiveStream discussing that very topic.  Join your fellow HPA members as they discuss the prevalence of wintertime dementors, as well as the ways in which they can be driven away.  The program will start at 8:30pm EST on our LiveStream station right here.

On a related note, the Harry Potter Alliance would like to remind everyone that they can text "HAITI" to "90999" to send a donation of $10 to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts in Haiti.

Harry Potter saves the day yet again, by helping to fight off the winter dementors. =)

I am upset that I missed the Livestream live but do appreciate the work the HPA has done to address the dementors that have descended upon many of us these last few weeks. We can fight them more easily if we all cast Patronuses together.

Guess That Book

Nobody was looking forward to Care of Magical Creatures much in this weather, though as Ron said, the skrewts would probably warm them up nicely, either by chasing them, or blasting off so forcefully that Hagrid's cabin would catch fire.
