Report: Location Filming for Deathly Hallows in Liverpool has Scrimgeour at the Scene

There is a curious report today regarding location filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. According to the Liverpool Echo, actor Bill Nighy has apparently been on the set for filming at the Birkenhead tunnel area of Liverpool, England. The paper says "The actor has been busying himself around Liverpool’s famous sites and eateries during breaks from filming the latest Harry Potter movie. He plays Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – the final film in the series – which has been shooting after dark in the Birkenhead tunnel. Insider spotted Bill at Gusto at the Albert Dock, and at the Italian Club on Bold Street where he was chatting to owner Rosaria about his upcoming big screen wizardry."

These scenes at the tunnel are widely believed to be for the Seven Potters sequence in Deathly Hallows. We are working to verify this report and will update with more when we can.

What? Why would he be there? Scrimgeour is hardly in Deathly Hallows, maybe they’ve added some introduction of the character, but I don’t know why he would have been in this scene. Maybe he’s just hanging out at the shooting, not actually in the scenes.

i guess either they are adding him in that scene (which would be rather stupid) or hes just on the side watching the filming.

Odd or not, no one knows until it’s confirmed really.. But anyway, I like Bill Nighy as an actor and was pleased when I heard he’d be Rufus. Just waiting patiently for the next film to come out now….

WHAT!!!!!! Scrimegour at the 7 Potters scene makes no sense at all… but I guess what comes comes
Bill Nighy is a great actor though. Loved him in Stormbreaker.
But still WHAT!!!!!!!!!

Awesome! I wonder what he’s filming?? I wonder if they decided to show the scene where Scrimgeour gets killed and maybe they changed the setting as well?
