OMG! OMG!!!! i will wait 15 year for Jo to complete this book if i have too, i really like giving Jo her space so she can do what she does best—WRITE! but a year please….please if they just said 2019 i would be happy!!!!

Btw, and again repeating some of my words from the Ian Rankin post, I truly hope that once the Scottish Book is finally released, there will be countdowns and midnight release parties and all that jazz. Being new to the book fandom, I’ve missed all the HP book release parties they’ve held over the years. :( :( :( Words can’t describe how sad I am about that, how much I’ve been mentally kicking myself on the head for not reading the books sooner. With the last two books, I did visit the queues they had here in Helsinki, but because I wasn’t into the books back then, only into the movies, I wasn’t queueing myself and didn’t stay in the queue overnight. And it certainly didn’t even cross my mind back then to fly over to London for a midnight release party or for some of those Jo’s reading sessions — another thing I’m regretting more than anything now.

However, if the Scottish Book ever sees the light of day and if they are going to hold midnight release parties and all that for it, I will definitely do my utmost to be there. In Gryffindor costume, doing the whole fan thing. And I don’t care how old I am when it happens. :)

I don’t want her to rush it so I think the perfect time for the book to come out would be after both DH movies are out… maybe sometime around 2013. That way, even though all the movies will be over, another HP craze will begin when the scottish book comes out. It would make Harry live on longer! :)

It would be very cool to see the Scottish Book published just after DH Part 2, to act as the “final installment” of all things Harry Potter related (canonical, of course). It would feel very much like completing the circle…from Philosopher’s Stone to encyclopedia. Of course, it would be good marketing to release it in conjunction with the last film, too. Lots of ways to go with this one and, obviously, it should be done correctly…I’m sure Jo won’t have it any other way and that’s as it should be. It is her universe after all, we just get to play in it. :-)

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if all of the profits go to charity…just like Beedle the Bard.

I was going to say it could be out in 2012, but that doesn’t give her tons of time to write it… Even /I’m/ going to be an adult by the time the Scottish Book is released! But at least that way I might have a chance at going to a release date in Edinburgh/wherever she is. Squee!
